AC will be added by Mark Reeves at Then & Now this next week. Strangely optioned car: AM-FM Stereo 8 Track, Touch wiper control (see end of gear shift lever) which is a VERY rare option, Poverty caps, no AC, no extra chrome at all, but tinted glass all around.

Don't know Pat. I've never seen a 71-76 big car without AC, but that's the way they made them I guess.

NEGATIVE!!! Just got my last one out of high school!! We're going to use it for our "Hagerty Car". Keep all our supplies, pop-up tent, etc and drive it to the shows we work selling antique and classic insurance. I wanted a wagon so we could throw all that stuff into it and just leave it there and not have to unload everything each time we went out.

It's a pretty nice car. About 90,000 miles, one repaint, everything works as it should and a southern car so no rust to speak of. I'm not real crazy about the Nutmeg color but what can you do? I'll probably throw a set of Rallye wheels on it to dress it up a little and tint the back glass along with Mark adding an in-dash Vintage Air system. He's going to put cruise on it and a set of gauges to keep an eye on things for me too. Car was ordered in Pittsburg and the owner moved to Florida shortly thereafter. Current owner is from the Atlanta area and it's been in Atlanta for several years. Couple of pencil-sized eraser specks in the back but nothing like a northern car would be. Mark checked it out for me yesterday and gave it his blessing.

    It will be there!

    Nice chrome too!

Wow! I like it with the poverty caps!
We had a '71 Olds Custom Cruiser with no a/c, it was hot, and it had a 455-2, couldn't get out of it's own way, my Dad did not want a/c, they had to find the car for him. The '70 Estate Wagon was too expensive with all the goodies, I still wish they had bought the Buick.
Have fun, that's going to be a awesome ride!:3gears::beer:TU:

I know the guy that owned it near Atlanta and have ridden in it before. Very smooth car and solid. You got a good one Brad. Congratulations!

You do run into cars that were special-ordered with weird options. Years ago, we had a customer who ordered a new Chrysler Cordoba - I can't remember if it was a '75 or a '76, with just about every option that was available, but with the radio deleted. When we asked him why? He said: "I'm so f#%&* hard of hearing, I can't hear the f#%&* thing anyway".
