What size supercharger were you looking at? An 8-71 would be a waste of money on your application in my opinion. A 6-71 or 4-71( with a single big carb would work well) I could ask around for a blower if you want I got a good rebuild-able core for 100.00 complete. Hampton beefed it up to handle what we do to it. So far so good.
Let me know and I'll ask around.

Oh I know, I'm gonna do what I want, I just know that there are more knowledgable then me with these cars and was hoping that some guys would help lead me in the right direction and they have.

I honestly don't know the difference between the different superchargers....And I don't know what companies made them either. So if you or anyone knows of different companies I could compare I would be grateful.

It is important to pick the size blower to match your engine size and application.

A larger supercharger than is needed has to turn slower than engine speed to get low boost for street use.
A slow turning blower has a lot of low speed “leakage” of boost pressure past the clearances between the rotors and the blower case.
This works fine for racing where you only care about the power at high rpm but is not optimum for street use where you want boost at low rpm.

A blower that is too small has to be turned much higher than engine speed.
This actually gives you good boost from low rpm but at high rpm will heat the inlet air which decreases the amount of air by weight being pumped by the supercharger.
So now you loose high rpm power.

Somewhere in the middle is a size range that will work for your engine size and boost level.
If you use the smaller size blower in that range you will get full boost early in the engine rpm.
If you use a larger blower and gear it down for that same boost level, full boost will come in later.
This makes the torque more managable especially with big blocks on the street.

Blowers are sized by how much air is pumped for each blower revolution, however blower volumetric efficiency decreases as boost pressure increases.
The amount of air being pumped into the engine for each blower revolution varies with boost and is always less than the advertised size.
Blower manufacturers have "drive ratio and estimated boost" charts for each of their blowers for different size engines as a result.

Here is a tech article from Weiand superchargers that has good reference material.

Here are some of the choices for street application.
The first 3 make intake manifolds for BBB.
I don't know of any that make an "Off the shelf" for SBB. You will have to get creative.
We use blower drive services (BDS) 6-71 for our racing application.

No one makes an intake blower manifold for the Small Block Buick.

The top 3 blower suppliers on the list I gave you do make an intake blower manifold for the Big Block Buick.

You will have to get creative if you want to put a blower on the top of a Buick 350.

Here are 2 links of those that have made thier own intake blower manifolds.

So I pretty much just have to find the blower that I want and then just make a manifold.

I dont have to buy full kits or anything along those lines.

hampton will make intake out of offy dual quad intake. and gerardot superchargers will sell you a good used 6-71 charger. you dont need a new blower
