Because it's cheaper to ship UPS to a business address vs. a residence. I have everything shipped to my business address and save on shipping charges. NEW1966 is just trying to save you shipping charges. A smart move IMHO.
While I haven't bought or sold directly with Greg, he did me a huge favor a few years ago, which resulted in my acquiring a badly needed rare part for my 68 on Ebay.
He buys out dealer parts stocks and resells-so parts that(at least in the past) might get thrown in a dumpster, are saved. I don't think he's a Buick guy-or maybe not even a car guy-seems like he was a realtor-it's about the $ he can get. There are others out there doing the same thing that are more knowledgeable on what they are selling-most are better to deal with. With all the dealers going away, he'll probably be a busy boy and we'll see more of him-
The utter contempt he shows his unhappy customers, in his rebuttal feedback, is very telling of the kind of personality he has. He seems to be a busy seller; every business has to handle returns and unhappy customers every now and then. I will certainly beware.
I was ready to BIN a set of NOS front signal lenses for my 67. I'm glad someone beat me to it. harvey
I notice no rhyme or reason why he does what he does to people.....just must be luck of the draw with him....unfortunately for me he decide he could screw me on a NOS part i was selling on e-bay....claimed it arrived broken.... everyone on this board that has bought from me knows how i pack my parts....to make a story short...Paypal refunded his money with it's "Buyer protection plan" after he sent back the junk antenna that he switched my perfect NOS for...oh, i got my money for the part.....just did'nt like BS he pulled on me and his nasty feedback...... everybody's SATAN to him.......this dude is evil and i'm gonna look evil straight in the eye someday........ He went nuts on me when I emailed to let him know that the tail lights I bought from him were used. Called me ever name in the book. The guy is a THIEF.
Just had my own first hand experience with him. I made on offer on some back up light lenses he has on ebay. His two word response was "go away". Nice response from someone who considers himself a responsible businessman. Harvey
calling somebody a sex offender because they left you negative feedback?:eek2: that's nuts. i took a good look at some of his stuff,and you can see a lot of his stuff has some abuse over the years.. major shelf wear,and being thrown from dealer shelf to dealer shelf over a 40 year period will do that to pot metal parts. if he ripped you,you can do what somebody else already did to him,sign up a new user id,and drop another bad feedback bomb on him.:grin: i think he actually enjoys it,though.
