What is the backspacing 4.5 or 5.5?
I run the same size tire as Phil with 5.5 backspace. I too had to trim the lip of the wheel well.

I'm not sure what is the biggest tire you can run with that back spacing. If the tires will not fit, just sell them. We have all made huge mistakes in this hobby. Buying the wrong size tire is not that big a deal.

Phil Sedlon is running P325/50R-15 on 10" rims with 5 5/8" back spacing. 295's should be no problem at all.

Johns pics and Videos 052.jpg I'm running 15 X 10 rims with Mickey Thompson Sportsman S/T P295s. Offset I went with was 5.5 in. It's tight but I was able to make it work. I did a little trimming up to the stainless trim. No more than that. No problems and they look great ! Very intimidating from the back.

    John,
You are running 5.5" of BACK SPACING. Offset is not the same thing.

if anyone likes the idea of a 15x10 and 325-50 get a pair of moog 5399 2in longer free float ,so you can stuff those big meats under your 70-72 and have no issies with rubbing and no need for air shocks

I got my wheels from Specialty Wheels also. They did a very nice job. And I've had about 8-10 different size tires/wheel combos out back. The 325/50 is the biggest that'll fit without starting to really cut into things.

And just to let everyone know, I also run airbags in the rear springs. With the 325/50 tire, it is tight in there and with the shape of the inner wheel well, if you hit a big bump or "whoopteedoo" in the road, they can rub. I run about 5-7psi in the bags which takes out just enough of the springyness without affecting the ride. No more rubbing issues.

hey guys just fyi called specialty wheel and they were happy to take my order but after 2 weeks still did not have the parts to make my wheels. so in another frantic search found stockton wheel and they whipped up a pair and shipped them in 3 days. not coated and 30.00 bucks more but in a jam you gotta pay. let you know how they turn out

So I sold the Summit wheels I bought to find other more important parts. Just for the record, I bought 15x 7 4.5 backspacing and 15x8 4.5 backspacing and they looked as if they would be great sizes overall. I think after reading more and more on wheels that 15x10 rims are a bit overkill, as a 275 tire fits great on an 8 inch wheel anyways.
