First let me say that I am not rich (like I really had to say thatp ) I know some people that have more oney than they need and I consider them rich guys. I know that whe they are wanting something like a Monkeemobile or a Robosaurous or a Hemi Cuda they buy it. They usually do not look at it as a investment. Think about it. You have made millions selling your business and are retired at 45 years old . What do you do? You already have the trophy wife and the nice home and even a vacation home on the ocean. You sit around with the guys remembering the cars of your youth and what you dreamed about owning. How many of us in a situation where money is not an object would stop from paying too much for their dreams. It could be outer space travel, climbing Mt Everest, buying a small island.... whatever. I just think that when you sit back and realize what kind of obscene money some of these guys make you will understand. I read not long ago that a 40ish hedge fund manager made 1.5 Billion in 2006. Thats his pay not what the fund made. So what would you do with that kind of wealth? Oh yeah and Ms McDowell is very attractive IMHO.

Jim, it was nice meeting you in the preview tent and seeing you up on the block...I was the guy that introduced himself as being from V8Buick and the BPG. Anyway, I am glad that you were happy with the sale. I know a lot of people rant about the auction, but frankly where else are you going to the concentration of money all in one place for one purpose? Plus it's a pretty damn fine car show!:TU:
I Second that motion!!! :Smarty: Here Here!! Sure wish they would air more buicks when they come up though.. Sick of the 70 Chevelle and the 427 corvette..I think I counted 54 chevelles on the list.. Enough already.. My buddy said the price was way down on cars this year in most catagories.. Mostly Mopars.. But in the buyers catagoy there was some really good deals down there..Randy
