    Agreed, that's for sure.

Here's mine... No saftey, hammer is flush with the slide so you can't pull it back. You really have to move the trigger to get that thing to fire.... its not hard, just quite a distance so I'm not too worried about accidental discharges (still don't keep it chambered though).

Glock is still on my whish list :TU:

We had a college woodworking teacher (stage construction class) who taught us to be very careful, but said he was actually in more danger than we were.
He told us that since we were new, we were leery of the machines, but he had done it so long he was more likely to be careless.

You know that had to hurt him badly. I could of sworn on day 1 at the academy they always tell you to put the saftey on While showing off with your gun it looks like common sense doesnt apply to this guy

Yeah, but you can see that his "I'm a MAN, y'all listen up!" mode kicked right in...shockshockshock

:Smarty: Firearms Safety Class, courtesy of the NRA and the BSA: :Smarty:

Interestingly enough, you're typically better off not using a safety, because they DO break/fail. Using and relying on safeties isn't the best way. You and those around you are better off when you follow the "3 Commandments" of firearms safety:
    1. ALWAYS keep the firearm pointed in a safe direction.
    2. ALWAYS keep the unloaded until ready to use.
    3. ALWAYS keep your finger OFF the trigger until ready to shoot.

If you "keep the 3", nobody can get hurt, guaranteed. You can even slip up and break one of the three, and the other two will cover you, but when you break 2 (or 3), somebody's gonna get hurt.
Can you spot when numbnuts breaks which rule? I thought you could...

Teaching Shooting Sports (.22, shotgun, and muzzleloading) for the Boy Scouts, that's what I hammer into their skulls. "Safeties are mechanical devices put there by the manufacturers to decrease their legal liability. Mechanical devices can and will fail. YOU have to be smarter than the firearm, which is also a mechanical device." :Smarty:

I'm gonna use this video in class :Brow:

The slide was open but we did not see him open it, or inspect the weapon. These are things that should have been done in front of the class,--for demonstration purposes.

Reguardless, this guy is an idiot. It's scary to think that he is a Federal Law Enforcement Officer.

I'll bet he's not anymore. Or at least he's not on the street.

You just KNOW the other guys in his unit are doing this when they think of numbnuts:

I just had to be the idiot who drove the drill too far down on the press while cutting plugs. Whipped that piece of wood around so fast. Right into the finger, swelled up for 2 days. :ball:

It could have easily been one of the kids that got shot. Instead of the firearm Einstein. :Dou:
