Watch as this DEA agent presents a gun safety seminar to a class of school kids :jd: :blast: ou: ou: ou: http://www.compfused.com/directlink/680/ D.
The gun was a Glock so there is no external safety. He definitely needs to work on his gun handling skills though. Thank God none of those kids were hurt. Mike
WOW!!! uzzled: And he said he was a pro. o No: If I remember right I don't think Barney ever shot himself in the leg. o No: I believe Barney has one up on this guy!
when our police service was testing various semi-automatic handguns (9mm & 40cal), the armourer who was performing the tests, eliminated the glock because the slide could be easily pulled off the barrel by anyone who happened to grab the gun from the front. we use smith & wesson 40cal.
Guys like that deserve to get shot! She should have handed him the M-16 and let him complete his application for the Darwin Award. :spank:
Nobody jumped! actually they did, but almost the entire class was cropped out of view when he discharges the pistol. they were probably all sitting there going "there's no fricking way numbnuts just fired that is there?" and given HIS lack of reaction their disbelief was reinforced by the surrealness of the situation. This idiot never even checked the weapon. no, he opened the slide and verifed that there was no round in the chamber. unfortunately, it's a semi-auto and he never bothered to verify that there was no magazine in the gun. release slide, bingo, there's a round in the chamber again. removal of the mag is, of course, the first step in 'safing' a semi-auto. Guys like that deserve to get shot! hear, hear! i'll second that. can you imagine the report he's going to have to file? i forsee a suspension w/o pay seguing into a desk job if he doesn't get fired outright. And he said he was a pro. i'm just going to refer you to the 'best bullcrap stories' thread right now. if there's one thing that all of these COPS and 'police in pursuit' shows have demonstrated beyond a reasonable doubt is that many of our personnel in blue haven't two brain cells to rub together. :blast: :spank:
After numbnuts shoots himself, he's going into mild shock - you can tell from his speech. From personal experience, let me warn you to be very careful with somebody who's just been injured, shock will lead them to do dangerous things. Like the guy who cut off his fingers with a saw, and somebody asked him "what happened?". He calmly demonstrated with his other hand, cutting off those fingers too. Good thing nobody asked numbnuts the same question, he might have shot himself a second time! :spank:
he's going into mild shock - you can tell from his speech. ha, you're probably right. i thought he sounded stupid BEFORE the discharge so i wasn't really paying attention to the tenor of his voice after...
Depends on the model.... My .40S&W beretta (mini-cougar)has no saftey. I also like it ALOT. Would own a Glock any day though...
Mine is a Mod. 96... I this pic, safety (just in front of hammer) is ON... Frank Regardless, the cop in the school safety lecture was an idiot. Frank
Gotta have a safety I have a Ruger P90 (.45 apc) w/ manual safety. My "friend" said that in case of emergency I mignt not have time to "flick" it up. A a couple of weeks later his pistol discharged when the trigger guard got a hold of something he had screwed into his bench and shot a hole through his garage. Good thing his wife wasn't home, and of course he never told her. p
I have a Kimber Ultra Carry .45 Stainless, Wilson's grips, upgraded sights for walkin' around. You just gotta love a .45... Frank
