"badbuik" ver. 2013.. This is what I've been bustin my A$$ on for the last 4 months!!

My car has been down and out for almost 3 years!!! FINALLY my "badbuik" is back from the dead ready to race again!! OK, almost ready, got a few minor power grid wiring "issues" to sort out, but I drove this monster down the street today. The aluminum Finishline "bullet" seems awesome, it actually broke my oil press. gage! Chassis is certified to run 7.50 thanks to Matt & Mike at San Diego Auto Fab, Bobb Makley gets credit for the 475ci Tomahawk motor, and Steve Johnson of Induction Solutions gets credit for flowing and blueprinting the 2 stages of nitrous, plate and fogger. Lane at PTC is responsible for the tight as a frogs butt torque converter, and then theres me, Seems like I had to change everything out to make this all work, alot of crap had to get changed, alot of junk from back in '65 that had to go!
So here's some pics, enjoy, and be nice, car may basically look the same as 3 years ago, but it is wwwaaaayyyyyy better!!

Nice looking car! Can't wait to see the numbers that you run. This may or may not be a word of caution. Where your safety net attaches with the latch, be carefull when getting out. Mine is very similar and I have the dings in my helmet and my melon. :ball::af:

Thanks Rick, I've got dings in my head from the old net latch, I think that one was like 7 staples....... So far I haven't hit my head, been in and out several times, so far so good! Thanks for appreciating my "obsession"!

That's exactly why I've got the female part welded onto my cage, nice and recessed, and the male end welded to my upper net support bar! Never had a melon hit, which important when you've got a huge pumpkin head like mine!! That's also the reason I NEVER get in and out of the car with my helmet on. That just makes it BIGGER! :laugh:

I'm going to the Street Car Super Nats. in Vegas, Nov. 14-17th, the new combination will put me racing in the Wild Street class. The rules state that you have to have a passenger seat, "but it can have an inter cooler or nitrous bottle", or whatever, "in" it. I didn't want to do it, but had to...
I'm going to do the best I can with this all new combination, this class has very fast cars in it, just don't want to embarass myself, but still have fun.

Gary does your car "leave" hard enough to need a wheelie bar or do you have the power come on just after launch?
