HURRAY! Boy, talk about undercover surveillance. :bglasses: They told me it would be rolling into Seattle today and up here tomorrow. I feel a "well day" coming on so I can get it. ("Well, I won't be in today.") :3gears: :3gears: As far as soap and water I've got a ton of it. I don't care how dirty it is, I just want it. Thanks for the update. :beer Harvey
Make sure you get some "before" and "after" pictures so we can all see what a car looks like after travelling across the country in the middle of winter!
It was supposed to be delivered today. However, the truck broke down. So, I'm coming down tomorrow with a truck and trailer to Pacific to pick it up. Harvey
Good luck, Harvey Hope it all works out Ok.. I used Intercity Lines out of Warren, MA twice and was extremely pleased with the service and professionalism of the drivers and staff. http://www.intercitylines.com/ This is enclosed shipping..which I happen to think is the only way to go with a car that you a) spend a bunch of $$ on and b) with which you are about to start a serious relationship. But that's all IMHO.. So, good luck, in anay case Stanley
Hi Stanley, No argument at all. I think I just ran into a couple of less than efficient carriers. I know if I ever do this again I will do it differently. Hopefully I will have some pics tomorrow to prove the car has finally made it home. :TU: Harvey
I also used Intercity to get my Buick from Plano Texas to Toronto. I would use them again. They were a tad slow in getting the car up here, but it was not entirely their fault.......we had issues with title (6 weeks to secure the paperwork). They subcontracted the haul across the border to a firm in Toronto (who I used to transport the car to storage). Their experience with customs crossing the border is another story for another day :af: Thank god I used a customs broker as well (Globus Company in New York) A pleasant experience with the people at Intercity, but the time between buying the car and recieving the car damn near killed me.......
