    Rich,

Glad to hear it has worked out for you. I am thinking more and more on going that route. I may be picking your brain if I put one on mine. See ya.

Small update just to keep the tread alive and well.

Had the car up to the track last week. The addition of the intercooler has really made the car consistant. The car ran 11.80's at 118 and 119 MPH all day. My 60's weren't the greatest. Some day I may have to put some slicks on it so the car will run a low 11 pass on pump fuel.

The charger has been real fun. It's amazing how streetable it is and yet how fast it is in street trim.

I'll snap some under hood pics of the intercooler and piping later this week... I've been slacking on showing that bit of info.

There's a lot left in this one Rich. Start saving for aluminum heads and a custom grind. 9's easy!!!!

Yeah, I could turn the wick up on it now, however, I don't think the stock rods and block would like the results. I think I'm comfortable pushing the limits of my engine peices right now :Brow:

Just keep the revs under 6000 and you'll be fine. :Brow: 119 mph is pretty promising. Sounds like you just need to work on that first 60ft... :TU:

Glad to hear your not changing gaskets for once.

    Small update.....

Took the car up to the track. I expected a little slow down do to the 94 degree temps (24 degree's hotter than last time I took it out).

Only change I made to the car was drilling out the alky nosel .003. The car ran it's best time ever even tho it was running @5000ft

    60ft 1.87
    ET 11.63
    MPH 120.88

Time to open the alky up another .003 to see how she likes that :3gears:

I think I'd be a high 10 here if I broke down and put some slicks on it :Brow:

    Problem is no cage.....

Just thought I revive this old girl. Since the last major comb through mentioned in this tread, the Motor / Charger has held together nicely. The car clicks of traction limitied consistant 11.40's and 11.50's @ 121 to 124MPH running 9 to 10psi.

I put a smaller pulley on the car and ran it last friday night seeing about 13 or 14psi, the car was a fight all the way down the track until I finnaly had to lift all the way out about 1/2 track for fear of getting into the wall. I got back into after gathering my marbles and still went 13.1 @ 115mph. The car went in the trailer and I didn't make another run (left my larger pulley at home)

I'll see if I can get some footage of that run posted up.

Time for some ET Street radials?

That's what I'm running. MickeyT finally released the 295-45-17 in the ET Street Radial. The track prep just sucked (typical on a street night at the track) so it was usless to try another pass.

I'm heading down to Vegas for the Pinks All Out event on Sept 8th. I think they are going to hold me to the 11:49 times do to not having a cage. I'll just plan on running in the 11:50 range and call it good......

    NJBuickRacer I'd rather be racing...

Very cool setup:beers2: I know the feeling of hazing those MT radials at 70 MPH and how disconcerting it can be...Bias slicks aren't much better, they stick but don't exactly inspire confidence on the big end with the "bias ply dance" at 100+ MPH.

Hey Rich. I'm going to the Vegas Pinks All Out too, good to hear that I won't be the only Buick there! "GS455David" with his procharged Buick (Car Craft) is supposed to go but might not be able to make it. Don't be a stranger, I know years ago we were both at the Buick race there but didn't get a chance to talk. I'm hoping for a mid 9 second field, and taking that 10k home!

Dang! Is it the weight of your car that's causing the traction problems? It seems like you should be able to hook at that ET level..

You are going to have problems Gary because my Vortech Supercharged GS will be taking home the $10,000. I hope to run low 10s or high 9s on my street driven GS. Feel bad for any poor Hemis that run into any of us. I am looking to spank as many as I can.

Well... we should have the time ranges covered. I'll be setting my car up for a good solid 11.50 since I still don't have a cage and I feel they will be sticking to the rules.

Hopefully one of us get our buicks in the big show.

The weigh posses some of the problem, they other portion is our track up here just plan SUCKs. My car will hook in vegas it always does they have top notch track prep.
