No problem Jim!! LOL I ordered all the material today, so when things progress I'll let you all know. Thanks, Steve
Ok........ First batch of laser cut components came in. I have a few sets finished and will have more by next week.I plan to start filling orders late next week. The prices are as follows........... Front Main Brackets and small 3 hole Brackets = $145 Front Outer Bumper Brackets = $115 Rear Brackets = $130 These are for a 1970 Skylark/GS, and for fiberglass bumpers only. I won't guarantee that they will be strong enough to hold up steel bumpers. I priced the outer brackets separately because some may choose to use the factory steel ones as the weight savings is minimal vs. the cost. All prices do not include shipping. Shipping will be based on "where to". Anyone that was on this post that still wants a set please email me and place an order. Be sure to give me your address so I can calculate shipping and give you a total. srgs455@gmail.com Pictures are on their way.......... Thanks, Steve
Steve I sent you an email but my paypal email is different if you're sending an invoice. Todd69gs@comcast.net is my paypal
Dan......post #32; I finished the jig for the outer braces and made up the first pair. Since they'll take up the majority of the fab work on these, I think I'll list them separately and only offer them as an "option". Attached a few pictures. I did weigh up everything for comparison; Front main mount (each)........Steel 3.98 lbs / aluminum .83 lbs 3 hole bracket (each)...............Steel .74 lbs / aluminum .16 lbs Outer brace (each)...................Steel 1.67 lbs / aluminum .48 lbs Rear mount (each)...................Steel 3.70 lbs / aluminum .72 lbs This comes to a savings of 9.84 lbs in the front and 5.96 lbs in the rear......Total of 15.8 lbs.
Please send me an email with your address and I'll get you a total with shipping. My email is srgs455@gmail.com I'm trying to keep the orders in one format and using email is the best for me. I have inquiries for different products coming from texts, private messages, Face Book, Messenger, phone calls, etc., etc. and it's just too tough to juggle all that doing this part time. Hope everyone understands. Thanks! Steve
Thanks!! Had a lot of responses. I hope to make all the other years as time permits. I'll need input to determine what years may cross over........64/65.....66/67......68/69......71/72? Looks like a lot of jigs and fixtures to build!! LOL I'll get to the rest........just need to remember that I only do this part time! LOL
Have we determined the differences between the 70 and 71/72 brackets? I was thinking that the fronts were the same. Can someone verify this. I'd like to get at least a set of fronts ordered for our 72.
70 is definitely different than 71/72 Rears are also different. (Different Part #'s as well) So 1970 is kind of a "stand alone year"
