Although I did notice that Ken is installing an alcohol injection kit on it...

Here's a couple more photos. I'm surprised that we were not attacked by bees with all these yellow cars :)

Was Brad's car the GSX that was on the cover of Buick book that was printed in the late nineties?? I have only seen that car and the ERTL die casts in that scheme! I remember back when the book was printed, two guys co-owned that car. Man, I was hooked on GSXs thanks to that thing!

    Great cars and great people!
It was surreal to see so many X's in one location. I heard someone say they were trying to find something in their X and realized they opened the door to the wrong yellow X. Too funny.
Likely a once in a lifetime experience and I am very glad we were able to make it out with my dad's car.
Dennis, Ron and Joe were great guys and it was too cool to hear all of the stories from back in the day. They did a great job adding to the details of why these are such unique musclecars. Duane's sub assy discussion was great as well. Great job by Duane and Mark getting so many folks to come out.

Marco, you are going to have to get Joe to bring his SCO 70 to the Stage 1 reunion!

Yes, It was our car on the cover back then. My dad bought it from a good friend of mine in the early 80's so we would have something in common, going to shows and such. Dad passed away in 2000 and willed it to my oldest son, Drew. Now Drew, Alex and I have something in common, a love for Buicks!

It breaks down like this: Drew gets the Black GSX, Alex has the GNX Prototype and Chelsea gets the GSX Prototype. I personally think Chelsea won that deal...

I don't know much about the GSX's, and thougt they came in only white or yellow. Are the different colors factory colors? Maybe only one year came in white/yellow?

    Anyway, all great cars! Thanks!

'70 was white or yellow. '71 and '72 the GSX was a trim package available on any GS car (even 350s). So if a GS was available in a certain color, then the GSX was too, for 71 and 72.

Not quite, Yards. It is true for 72's but for 71 there were only 6 colors available plus two special order cars (our black car and Karen Millers red 71). In 71 the colors available were Platinum Mist, Bittersweet Mist, Lime Mist, Stratomist Blue, Cortez Gold and Apollo White.

...and quite possibly another 'one-of' color - Verdemist Green. Time will tell

Apollo White was the 70 color, Arctic White in '71, correct?

Thanks for clearing up the confusion. Jeez, just when you think you know something about these cars....

heck, I just learned that the GSX and 70 - 72 Stage1 never came with a chrome air cleaner lid. That was Riv stuff only.
