NICE! It's like a dream:sleep: to be surrounded by a car I want oh so badly. Except in my dreams I own one. ou: -Dru
Wow, what's the story with the white (or silver) '70 with the custom interior? Any close ups of that car?
That is the PROTOTYPE GSX. It was a one-off car to determine "if" they could get approval for a special version of the GS. Similar to the GTO "Judge" as a special version of the GTO. This car is amazing with custom hood ram air inlets (I wish they made it to production) as well as front & rear spoilers and custom interior. Very interesting car to see in person. Car is owned by Brad Conley who is a board member. I parked my GSX next to his to get it under cover for the evening instead of loading it into the trailer. Took advantage to get some nice pics of my car next to the one that started it all!! :TU:
Man, I should have known that by now ou: I knew he had the prototype, but never sought out photos of it (just assumed it looked like all the other GSXs). Maybe I'm crazy, but all those little details that make it different really do it for me. What a work of art!
Rob,Thanks for posting the pics. I won't be making down this year, so the pictures and stories are the next best thing. enjoy the weekend, I know you will. Post more when you get time. Can't wait to hear and see your Stage 2 build. thanks Jim
[From Thursday Evening Cruise In] IMG_6750 -- "Look out behind you little guy! That car's gonna eat ya!" IMG_6751 -- "Ruuun!!!! Here it comes!!!!":laugh::laugh::laugh: Sorry, I couldn't help myself...yeah I know, I retarded... Great pics tho Rob, thanks for the footage and have a great time!
Here's a couple of small video clips... Parking the GSX Pulling under cover next to Prototype GSX More to come as I will take a bunch of pics and more video each day! Please say "Hi!!" if you see me.
Here are a few from today. I heard the turn out was 93 GSX's. A once in a lifetime event to have so many in one place.
I almost like that front spoiler. I like how it has a more molded look to it like they tried to match the nose contours better, but it looks a little over-size and like it hangs down too far. o No:
Gorgeous!!! Drooling uncontrolably... Was this event open to clone cars as well, or the real thing only?
We had some clone cars, they were in the other car show field with the street/driven classes. The cars in the Re-union area were the real ones and the Concours cars. Duane
Duane, Mark and all the rest involved in organizing this event - CONGRATULATIONS! :TU: :TU: :TU: Wish I was there! Was there any noticeable TV or press coverage that we can look for in the future?
Saturday morning I was cleaning the car with my 5 year son Jacob. A couple of fellas with cameras asked if they could take some pictures and I was all too proud to say "of course!" Then they asked me to drive the car over near the grand stands.... They were from one of the muscle car magazines. They took pictures of cars grouped by year, so my car was the yellow 70 along with a white 70 X. Anyhow, here's some more pictures!!
Rob, Great pics! Who were the guest speakers? Who was the gentleman signing the trunk lid? I assume he was a role player in the 'Stage 2' devopement. Dan.
Your telling me! The Motion GSX was parked by my vendor booth for a couple hours (even when it was raining). I don't think I stopped staring the entire time it was there.
