Personally, I have a thing for strippers. Oh yeah, and cars too. I guess it all depends on who's buying it. I would pay more for a Stage 1 optioned like this that one loaded up. I think the 4 speed adds a signifigant amount across the board to the price of a muscle car. Especially in a Buick as they're so uncommon. Im actually thinking about taking the P/S out of mine. :bla: GString's old GSX sold for 150k at BJ, but I realize the economy was alot better back then too. There really arent alot of apples to apples sales you can look back on. What did that black 71 Stage 1 4 speed convertible sell for recently? Wasnt it like 150k? granted it was a vert but it had non matching numbers with no docs and some similar resto mistakes. I think that was originally a GS 455 auto myself. And then there was that 442 W-30 4 speed vert that went for 222k last month at BJ. If a 442 can pull 222k why cant this? It is a far superior car! :bla: :beers2: p
Restored by an Olds expert, a real SS engine. Just those two things have to be worth moving the decimal point one spot to the right! Besides, he said "might except 71 GSX on partial trade".
Yeah, that "might accept a '71 GSX as partial trade" made me laugh . . . Some people have a few screws loose up there . . . o No:
Hardtops and converts, completely different ballgame, not even close to apples to apples. Neither is a Stage 1 GS to a Stage 1 GSX. And the 442's are bringing a lot better money than Buick's right now. The black stage 1 was 2008 I think, so not really that recent. If a GSX Stage 1 is struggling to get to $100k, the GS isn't going to come close right now. And I like strippers too. :beer
