Could be worse Happened to drive by THIS in the clean-up stages yesterday. The Subaru looked pretty close to your Mom's. Be thankful for the large car and all that steel! Jim
Good! Beth, glad your mom is ok, we had a safety message at work today, of manager's daughter's Cavalier that was hit by a full size pickup in Oshawa, Ontario, Canada, she had the seat belt on, and was ok, but looking at the car could have been worse. Our cars/trucks these days are built to take the crush and save the driver/passengers, but you have to have the seat belt on!.Our Plant Manager, relayed a story about another incident recently where the folks were throw out of van, no seat belts on and didn't make it. So it's important to stay in the vehicle, ala seat belts, cause the vehicles are built to confine the passengers, in a safety net, so to speak. There are added welds to maintain the 'crush' zone to keep the passenger compartment from being crunched. Save that SC3800, might make a nice sleeper. '97 and up Trans-Camaros(Firebirds and Camaros) with a 3800 are a easy swap, other than the intake is in the back, but a switcharoo part, u-shaped can fix that. That's a Monaro part, but easy to make, though! Your Mom will be sore for a few days, but she better not like that Dodge, remember the GM employee discount goes on till the end of July, and rumors it may be extended. and that 2005 is the last year for the PA, and LeSabre, LaCrosse, is nice, but I'd tell her to go for a 2005 PA! See you in a couple of weeks!
Beth We are glad to hear your mother did not get seriously hurt. She was probably fortunate the impact occurred at the rear door instead of the front door. Take good care of her. randy and Becky
