Are you talking about the little silver one? If so, he doesn't do pics. If I do get one it's the back of his head. I'm sure someone out there is a little quicker or sneakier than me. I did get a few in Salem.

Well Bob, that's the plan. Right now Rod is working on selling a few things. Pretty much if it isn't nailed down he is trying to sell it. Once he gets his motorcycle sold he will be good to go. He wants to buy Scotty's car with out selling the Skyhawk, to many memories to part with. Buying Scotty's car is going to be the easy part. The motor is another problem. Last month we went to the track and everything was running great, but the puke tanks were over flowing. We were hoping it would just be a gasket blown and not the block. Rod wanted to drop the oil pan to get a look at the bottom end anyway so he did that first. Only to find he split the block again. The main webs are split on the block again. Car still runs great, just can't race it. So, the plan is, until someone comes out with a block, to turn the boost down. Rod also has a guy working on making a super girdel for the motor.
What we are hoping for is the blower motor in Scotty's car won't have to work so hard to get it to go down the track and it will still turn low 8's with less stress on the motor. At this point right now I don't think it will be out for the Nats, but you never know.
Rod had a guy this last weekend talking about a block. Mark from BOP Enterprise was picking Rod's brain about a block. I'm not going to hold my breath, but it sure would be nice if someone would get serious about it. Maybe we could get this guy and Mike to get together and really do this. I don't think Mike wants to share the project though.

Take the scoop away and replace it with the blower.....sweet!! :3gears:

Rod and Scotty talked and they think low 7's shouldn't be a problem with that set up. Maybe 6's but we don't want to get our hopes up that high just yet. But if we don't get a block we'll be lucky to see mid 7's at this point.

Thanks  Funny thing is there are fewer photos of me than Rod. If you were to look in our photo books and didn't know I was there, you would never guess it. I'm in none of the photos. I'm always the one taking them. The few I do have are ones I've found on the Buick sites. I know there out there, some guys are not so suddle in taking them....lol. I don't mind, I would just like a copy too :Do No:

Thats better than I thought some would have. One year down in BG there was a guy taking black and white pics. Well,he pulled Rod and I over to his booth to show us pics of the Hawk that he had taken the year before. They were really cool pics and I wanted to buy them. He tells me since he liked Rod's car so much he would give us two for free. Great, right!?! So he goes to his collection and pulls out these two pics he's going to give us. Before he gives them to us he mentions to Rod "You can't say your woman never helps you work on your car!" They are two pics of me bent over putting screws in the rims of his street tires, cut off shorts, bikini top (you know my normal track attire) One pic from the side and one of the rear. I had to laugh. At the same time I couldn't believe he would so openly admit to taking and showing me the pics. I don't think most guys would take the chance of being slapped. Rod now has them hanging on the wall with his other garage women

    Hey Danie,

How about doing up some T-shirts and selling them to raise some racing capitol. I know I can always use another Buick shirt. Just make sure you get fair billing on at least one side.

What do we want on these t-shirts? Me.....hmmm, if you think it would help raise money for the Buick world I'll do my part.

How about this... Me standing next to Rod's car and it could say something like "Get Blown" lol, I'm not good at coming up with stuff like that.

I really like the calendar ideal that keeps coming up..... we could have one made up of "The Women of Buick" Guys can have their women pose with their car. I like the idea. I've thought of coming up with something and making a few to sell just to see how well it would go over.

In Salem Rod graciously offered to put a tune on my Riv for Sunday. But it was so hectic there with the show and all I never got to go over... besides, he seemed quite busy too and I didn't want to intrude.

But please thank him for me Danie. I don't want him thinking I blew him off or was ungrateful.

    Thanks.

I will pass it on for you. He does like helping others out. He did really want to get back to your car and try a few things. Or maybe it was that blow up sheep he wanted to check out, I'm not to sure :Do No: He played with the Riv this last weekend and got it to go 12.86 with a wore out motor and used hawk parts.

You didn't happen to have some dental floss in your hand asking her to pose next to you car in it did you!?! :Dou:

Tell your wife it will be for a good cause!!

I think if I could get a few guys to send me a photo I would work on making something. I guess it wouldn't have to have your woman in it, just a good pic of your car. Get a few made and see how they go over. Or make them print to order, what ever works.

I don't think it was the dental floss.

Danie' I think that John asked Robin to wear high heel shoes!!!!!!!!!!!

She is my "redneck" girl friend because I have never seen her wear any shoes at all, even on hot asphalt!!!!!!!

John and Robin are great people. I enjoy seeing them every year at the GS Nats. It didn't surprise me at all to hear that they towed Bobb's car back home with them. And Robin was doing the driving no less.

 That's funny. I noticed the little squirt is following in her foot steps. I hate shoes, wait I hate wearing shoes. If you looked in my closet you would know I love shoes, but I have to draw the line on walking on hot asphalt with no shoes.

They are a great bunch. Both John and Robin are very helpful. If it wasn't for their little squirts I think Buddy would be neglected at the track, as if that would ever happen.

I wonder how Bulldog is coming along with their new block project??

Aaaa man, why did you have to bring that up? We haven't heard any news on it. Our hopes are dawindaling that anyone will come out with a block. This last weekend Mark from BOP Enterpise was talking to us. He really wants to build a block and is willing to partner up with someone if need be. We told him he could call Mike but we didn't think he would be willing to partner up with someone on this project. Mike has original blue prints of a block, so he has more than half the battle won. Mike also wants to make these blocks in house so he can make modifications to what people want when ordered. There are such a select few that are willing to buy and pay the price for the first round of blocks put out, I can see why no one is to eager to get on this project. We'll continue to ride hard anyone that is interested in building one, we're not giving up yet.
