Please tell me this is a joke. I put this thread on here because I wanted to see someone put this thing back on the road.

The 73s aren't very popular in the first place. Besides that, the quality of steel they made them with wasn't very good in those years. Most hit the scrap heap years ago due to rust.

So I would ask that you sell it now rather than let it rust further sitting around outside. That's not doing anybody any good.

You sound like one of my uncles.

I'll give you the $500 you want, including the original engine, trans, and spare parts. Solid offer for the car & parts.

you guys keep it up calling me names. i,ll be posting pictures tomorrow showing what the car was last week and what it has become.my wife said it would be a nice planter and animal habitat for the winter, mice, cats, misc.
going to let my daughter do her artistic magic to it she's taking artistic welding in school. you've seen those welded animals before maybe it can be the beast it once was. no matter what we'll have fun with it.have a happy halloween.

Hi, I dont know your name and have not said anything about you but you have to understand something about people on this board. They are passionate about Buicks. Just like Americans are about life itself. If they hear or are told a rare car is being destroyed they may go a little over board when making comments about the car or a persons actions. (Buicks just do not get the respect of other cars). Just like Americans when they see the lives of people ended when kidnapped by terroists on video. I hope you are a true car guy and would rethink your position on the fate of this car. I am not interested in it but I know of a clean 73 car that could be used to save the car if sold.

It is your car to do what ever you want but it seems you are very angry and just like the reactions you get by playing with people. I can only wonder why since I dont know you.

Happy Halloween and I wish you the best in what ever you plans for the car include. :Do No:

What if the tables were turned and it was a Hurst S/C Rambler sitting in that field or a 70 390 4 speed AMC Rebel Machine that YOU wanted to save? Im sure you would have some choice words for that person! Try and see it from the other guys view

Last year, I visited a guy who has a few Buicks in his garage, If I remember well, he had a 69 Skylark, a 69 GS 400 (or two?), a 69 LeSabre 4 door sedan, a 73 Electra Limited and a 73 Century Gran Sport with the standard 455 and a 4 speed. This one seemed to be in good shape!

If you ever get back there, and remember, see if you can get cowl numbers as well as vin if he wouldn't care.I have located 2 455 4 speeds and this would be cool.

Pat, great idea on the '73-75 GS registry, I'll be happy to submit some once I get to the car again (in storage) it is a clone, but with an authentic "V" code VIN tag from the parts car the previous owner used to salvage parts for this car. He wasn't aware that it was a Stage 1 car! If you get a chance, check out the back of the December issue of Hot Rod and try not to scream at the picture of the pile of wrecked vintage road racers (Vettes, Camaros, a Firebird and a Stang') from the Road America race this last July. Later, Shane

I don't know when I'll get back there (it takes over 3 hours to go there) but I'll probably return next year.

We almost went there together two weeks ago, me and Georges had planned to visit the car's owner after our visit to the junkyard but we didn't have enough time. It's the same guy who had a dual quad 425 (apparently from a 4 door 64 Wildcat) in his garage, I think we talked aboout it. Maybe we'll go there in our next visit to the junkyard, it's just 10 minutes away from it.
In fact, I never met the owner of the Century. It's his father (who owned a few of the Buicks I mentioned) who showed it to me as it was at the same place as his 73 Electra was.
