I have seen those emblems as well on the Skylark "Custom" 350. Interesting to note that the bottom side trim was added, maybe to hide the paint blending? Here is a picture from a previous owner in March 2010.
I thought it was recently on CL for around $5k, not sure if that was Premium Motors selling it or if that was when they got it. I don't think it had ralleys then.
Maybe it was removed by the previous owner (Marty) to assess the rust and then put back on, as the picture he sent me in March 2010 (previous post) doesn't have the base rocker trim on.
Chris, i bought it around the time i was doing the 65 special frame off project. i would say summer of 2006
must be a PNW thing then :bla: , usually custom, says "Custom" there .But i don't have a '72 assembly manual.
