I have asked for more pics as I could swear this car was for sale in Oregon last year or earlier this year and had rust in the lower fender..

yep. I don't know about the rust, but it looks like the same car... it even has Oregon plates on it. It's now being sold by Premium Motors (a classic car dealership) in Tacoma.

Here is a picture I got from the previous owner. I don't know if this has been fixed or not.

Looks like a car lot detail job. Fresh splatter paint in the trunk. Fresh paint in the motor compartment. I woulk like to see some pics in actual sun light. Paint looks pretty dull. Maybe he should have taken the pics in his garage at night with a flashlight. Driver side carpet shows what appears to be a leaky front windsheild.

Jamie, I say buy it and make what you want out of it. Its nice, but not that nice to say it has to be preserved. This is the perfect canidate for a bb swap, no body work needed, dont have to worry about driving or wrenching on it. NO interior work either.

I just confirmed it is the same car, I had an old picture with the same license plate. Seller's representation as "no rust ever" is clearly wrong. Not sure if the fender was fixed before or after he got it.

Here is what the previous owner said about it in March, again not sure what work has been done since. The car had hubcaps then and I think he wanted around $5k? I might have moved on it and it not been for the rust.

    Hi Chris,

It has a painted roof. Paint and entire vehicle are all original except for the areas I have restored (trunk, radiator, carpet and some engine compartment). Rust behind right front wheelwell (common area) for this Buick. Minor door dings and scratches. A few small rips in the interior, AC works. This car is driveable now, but like I stated, it is 38 years old and things should be updated to make it a smoother ride ie. ball joints, shocks and so one. This car will be great with a litlle restoration.

I saw that out front of there Monday and has been there all week. My field office is only a few blocks away from it and I was going to stop by and look today. I am not interested in buying it but will give it a good once over.

  9. I stalked the original owner of that car for 6 years and bought the car from her when she stopped driving due to her age. car had 52K original miles and it then went to PDX mike in portland. it has been on craigslist a couple times since then. it came from Billings Montana and was bought new there

  15. I remember driving down the ladies street one saturday and seeing the car with a for sale sign posted on it. asking price was 2400 dollars. I called and her son said he couldnt get there for at least an hour so i stood in front of the for sale sign blocking it from peoples view for the whole time until he arrived. I wasnt letting it get away. that car was the third 72 skylark i have owned that had around 50k original miles on it. Mark L bought the other one from me and i think Bruce owns it now.

I went ahead and emailed the seller the picture of the previous rust so that way he could correct his ad where he says "no rust ever".

  18. DL, i have seen those emblems on a lot of 72 cars. i'm nearly positive they are original to the car. the 72 i sold to Tom in Florida had the exact same emblems on it
