After seeing this one I suspect he has the illusive stage III tucked away in the woods at the same emporium.
Well, I call BS . . . :moonu: I'd see how it might have Stage II heads, but I don't see anything that would indicate that . . .
This guy has run this ad before. Not only will he not give it a bath, but he also refuses to send a close up picture of the engine depicting the stage 2 heads.
HA! I was wondering the same thing! Disappointing . . . I sent him an email, just to see if he'd respond . . . It does have some signs of Stage II gear, but without pics of the heads and possible headers, It's a crapshoot. Someone in FL should go take a look at it . . .
I'm really getting annoyed with Buick 455's allways equaling a Stage 1, 2, etc. It is now the new punch line in trying to sell a muscle era Buick. "Well I got a Stage X car." Come on people stop wasting our time and educate your self, if you are smart enough to sell it on the internet you should be smart enough to do some research on what a Stage 2 really is... ou:
Imagine if it really was a stage II  We would all be kicking ourselves in the a** for not getting possibly the best deal of the decade. BUT I'm about 99.8% sure this guy is talking out of his, well you know...
Well, he put '71 bumpers on it then as there are no signs of clips/holes for the rubber trim strips. Looks like it's got a '71 grille as well
So not only is the an elusive Stage 2, it's the only '72 that left the factory with '71 bumpers and grill...
I emailed him this morning and he acually emailed me back right away. Probably because I told him I would take it if it has the stage2 heads on it. Say's it has the stage2 heads on the stage2 motor. Then tells me the stage2 casting numbers on the heads are 1238861ou: I didn't email back yet...
