Car ran in the driveway for 20 minutes and still had 60lbs of oil pressure at idle. I pulled up at the NC Nationals after a 30 mile drive and the temp was 170 oil pres was 30 at idle.

I think it would be fun to twin turbo an Apollo:3gears::3gears: Maybe if I get bored next winter.

Thanks Adam. If I can help with anything, let me know.

Told ya, that's one stout and healthy fo fiddy five. Id clean up some 1786 heads with some undercut stainless small valves, cut them .020 and for what it is it would fly. It will destroy the 275/60 now at will, I left some evidence about 300ft long when I first screwed it together

I am assuming the engine had not been taken apart, with the exception of the timing cover, correct?

Yeah. I marked up the neighborhood. Surprised no one said anything.

I pulled the cover and oil pan, the heads and intake were left alone, I cleaned the pickup tube, checked torque on rods and mains , new cloyes timing set, new water pump, oil pump, thrust plate, and buttoned it all back up, its a very dry engine im ocd about leaks. Engine was pulled from a 80kish Riv. Was/is clean internally as well, its a good one...you got an EXCELLENT foundation to enjoy as is or build off, if I could have afforded to keep it is still have it

If I had additional garage space, it never would have been for sale. I just wanted my garage spot back. I can't leave this car out in the weather. Even the big shelter I have is a horrible place to keep an old car. The GS I had was parked there for a while and the humidity and lack of airflow caused the entire interior to mildew. What a mess. Even the carpet had green fuzz. And it never got rained on. Sometimes there would be condensation all over the car, even in the trunk and on the engine.

Thanks Ethan. I did my part and passed it on.
