collector, I had to resend one of yours, so the 3rd of 3 should be there for you today. efogs400, yours are sent as well
I have a interested party that called yesterday with his email address (my wife wrote it down as she was picking up our kiddos at school). Can you please pm me your email. I fI can figure out how to put the imbedded email pictures up it would help, but I can't figure it out. IMO, the undercarriage, trunk, engine compartment, hidden areas (door corners, quarter panels up in the trunk, inner wheelhouses) are the true gems of the car...well other than being just a beautiful old car. It may be time to send it off to a consignment lot o No:
thanks Jim, sent you pm back. I may be dashing any hopes of selling right now, but guys the car isn't getting any more discounts. The car is rust free, original engine/trans/all metal except front drivers fender, interior and is beautiful. No it is not perfect...it is 40 years old. The recent appraisal of this car as well as other comparable cars out there in the last 1-2 years dictate the car is worth fr more than what I am asking. If these cars are as valuable as so many claim, please don't be surprised that a 19-20K bid just won't buy the car. Please understand, I am not trying to be arrogant or hard edged about this...I just won't give the car away. My original asking price was in the 27K range. Normal allowances for fair offers is 10-15% below asking price. I am nearly 20% below fair asking price and nearly 45% below fair market, current condition appraisal.
to my last caller, thanks for talking with me and I am thumbing through the receipts and yes, the trans was rebuilt not just serviced as I was thinking. Sorry for the confusion. It was good talking with you and let me know if you have any other questions
It's really a shame that you can't sell your GS. I know when I had mine for sale last year,it was tough selling it. I've had a 70 Mach1 for sale for 5 months months with no success. When they aren't selling whether you like Mustangs or not,the economy is bad!!!!!!!!! GOOD LUCK SELLING !!!!!!!!!!!!!!
been off the boards for a spell, hectic racing schedule has me traveling to SC and GA. Update on the car, an interested buyer is flying in once I am back from Daytona Bike Week (more racing). I have held off on any other lookers until he can get here to look. He was ready to fly in, but I was unfortunately on the road the last few weeks. If he should pass, I will contact the folks in the pm's ijn the order they came in. buickfan, I will get in touch with you via your phone number...but the other fellow has my word to let him have first discretion of purchase (he was one of the first seriously looking to purchase)
Congratulations on your sale. Sorry you had to take a hit on the $$. It was a really nice car. If I didn't already have one I would've scooped it right up. :TU:
oh, its all good...the car is going to a good home. With the topsy turvy market it did alright. The 72 comes next
