Hmm, I agree but I've been looking into it and it looks like sea mist green wasn't even used in 1971. Check this out: 1970 Paint Codes and 1971 Paint Codes Maybe this is wrong? I don't know. Also yes I'm in Texas but WAY the other end from you, lol! Here's another picture with a little more paint (Plus I polished up the wheels a little):
Take a close up pic of the cowl tag and we can tell you deffinately what color your car was when it left the factory. Unfortunately if it's been repainted in it's almost 40 year life you'll just have to call it green and be done with it. My 72 was repainted after a fender bender in the mid 80's and the shop just got a close enough gold to keep the original elderly owner happy. o No:
Here's mine, 70 Skylark 350/TH-200r4 (455 in work) w/late 90's Cadillac seats, front and back - front seats are 6-way powered/heated. It came with the 72 bumpers front and rear, not sure why they're on there, but I'll get the correct 70 style sometime.
That's quite a long haul! You passed right through where I grew up - Ocean Springs, MS! Somehow, I ended up in Kansas. Good buy on the rally pack; I'd love to have a stock tach. DD
70 Buick GS 455, auto, correct silver mist paint over original metal, black vinyl top, black interior, 81,000 on the clock.
I miss my skylark!! brings back memories from 2005 http://www.v8buick.com/showthread.php?t=57140&page=8 http://home.comcast.net/~testdelete/buick_ebay/index.html Hope its doing well!! Still Sklyark-less in Mass!!
Purchased this to be my wifes DD so it will remain close to stock. i will be upgrading to disk brakes and maybe efi and a rear sway bar. I am thinking of removing the vinyl top and paint it white + maybe white stripes Cassidy
