For the money, he could replace the carpet, have the correct upholstery, clean up the front wheels where he blew the brake lines out. The hood inner lip is not looking very well. If you ask top dollar, it should at least be correct. Besides that, it is a pretty car
Im not a 69 guy, but seeing the auction and looking at everything posted...where the defintive proof its a stage1 I mean everything i see is second hand stuff..i mean nothing is definitve to me...anone could forge it in a kinkos....if im missing something tell me, im trying to educate myself here,,i though BB was the trans code...i see BC wheres the codes on the block etc and why arent they shown? I mean c'mon whats a hemmings add got to do with anything?
It does state on the photos of the paperwork that it is equipped with a 3.42 Posi-Traction. I think perhaps the seller, or author of the ad, does not know the car.
Seats are correct 69 I didnt catch any specific Stage1 info pertaining to this specific car just a bunch of factory stage mumbo jumbo You figure a nice shot of a BB tag while your under there would be nice. This cars not new to ebay has been forsale in the past .Knock off 20k for that nasty color:laugh:
I got an e-mail back from the seller...it is all numbers-matching and the rear is a 3.42. I am pretty sure it's the real deal, and LOADED too. I would like to have this one.
Maybe the POP is still attached or imprinted on that warranty booklet? I really like the "Buick" color combo...it appears to be a nice survivor car with fresh paint...the engine and under side looks clean and untouched.
Antique Gold with black. Does look nice. For the money, I would buy a Silver Mist ragtop from the westcoast...:bglasses:
From the current owner when I asked him if its numbers matching and RS and BB stamped: I believe it is completely original except top, paint and exhaust which have been replace or repainted. The engine, transmission and carb have never been removed or out of the car. It has never been wrecked as far as I know. I did a small body on restoration but the paint had already been done right before I bought it. I the car was purchased from Gary Seale at Lamborghini Dallas and he is now manager at Lamborghini Houston. He knew the owner before me very well.
Latest update from the owner: I have had it for 2 years. Nothing to do it at all unless you want to do a body off. I think the value lies in the fact that its still so original and you know what you are getting. I have a reserve set at 50k and will not budge. Only 212 Stage 1 conv were built and when you look at that number how many were built loaded like this and that you can confirm its original matching numbers, miles etc.....
Not to worry Jim, here is what else he said, backup plan is already in place: I will put it in the barret jackson sale this next jan if it does not reach the numbers on ebay that i need now.
