Really nice solid Sportwagon but I question the 35K mile statement. Not nit picking but for a low mileage car the master cylinder does not look original (or is it correct for a power disc brake car?), worm clamps on the fuel pump and other hoses, repro valve cover decals, vacuum switch on the manifold is not original, '69 hose hook on the radiator shroud. Chrome wheels were not available with disc brakes in 1968 so those must be later wheels. It looks like it has T3 headlights though.

Nice car, great color, and it looks like the last owner enjoyed by driving it and adding personal touches along with a color matched cooler with Sportwagon tags. At the high bid price I would be very, very tempted if it were offered to me but not at $21K:eek2:

Guide-matic was a dealer installed option in 1968 along with the passenger side mirror.

This guy is in WONDERLAND. Should have taken the 21,000 dollar offer and ran all the way to the bank,if it ever happened. 11,650 is strong money and IMO all the money. Tom

Yeah I agree, but this dude knows for a fact that these are a hot item these days and are usually rusted and dented ridiculously. 11K + is strong bidding. All I can think of is he paid too much for it.

From one of the ads it sounded like an estate sale. I also doubted the 35k mi. claim in a post above, just by the condition of the seat. There have been so many nice wagons 68-69 SportWagon 400's that have come up for sale this year.

Hot, maybe, just not that hot... The eBay listing may have been nothing more than a market test too. So now he has a good idea of what it could bring if he's motivated to sell it. Sounds like it needs to sell, as owner died.

I love wagons but you would have to if you restored one because you would lose money. This one looks to be a great driver and solid. Certainly worth a premium but not 21k unless you find someone that really wants it and knows how much it costs to restore one even to weekend warrior status...Love the color and absence of woodgrain!

You could be right. It could have used a good cleaning if they were serious about getting top dollar. Invest in a new seat cover, maybe new carpet, a good detailing and get rid of the personal items (fuzzy dice, thermos holders, dash pad, trophy's and cooler) to give it a stock look. Also do a little investigating to find out if the miles are 35K or 135K.

Can't expect to get top dollar without putting in a little effort. I bet it will be relisted unless they did get an outside offer of 21K.
