Been watching that one, wish it was closer to me so I could give it a good look over.

Me too, I would love it in my Garage for the right money, but I hate buying off Ebay sight-unseen.

That is the one to buy if you're gonna buy one. Looks VERY sound.

NICE! If I had seen this before I bought my new Forte, I would have gone to look at it. It is practically in my back yard.

Very nice looking as far as you can tell from pics, anyway. Funny it shows "Longtime member" at the bottom of the bidding info area, but seller has only a 1 rating?

I just spoke to Gary. He said he has had an offer from a gentleman in Chicago for $21,000. He said the attorneys want him to let the the Ebay auction run out before he sells it.

    He should take the $21k.

Definitely the highest option one I've seen. It's a beauty, but I agree. $21k for a Sprotqagon is good money no matter what. That is a pretty rough looking front seat for a 35k mi car. Depends how far out from the coast it lived (I.e. Desert).

if you go on craiglist Orange County, Ca., it is list on there for $25,000 plus. I have a highly optioned 1968 Buick Sport wagon that was used in the TV show Mad Men, airport scene that I would sell for less than that!

Doesn't matter what he asks for it on C/L, what matters is what someone will pay for it. With a day left on eBay, it's only at $8100. I don't see it reaching $15k, honestly.

Well, shoot, KFISHER, go ahead and post up some pics of yours on this thread (I started it and I don't mind at all). I am always looking for a nicely equipped Sporty.

Just curious, what other options would there have been for that SportWagon 400? Woodgrain? What else? Power antenna? Right side view mirror?

Funny, I was thinking the same thing, but it wasn't my thread to suggest it. Let's see some pics and an option list! Always love to see awesome SportWagons, especially the 68-69 which imho were the best. The one on eBay/CL also has the Guidematic "Eye." My first 69 SportWagon 400 had that too, but it was not a highly optioned car. Interestingly, the eBay/CL car does not have a Dual Acting Tailgate, which was an awesome option (both of mine had that) and it's not a 9-passenger (I had one of each). Besides those and woodgrain I'd also be curious what else there was and I would think both of those would be relatively high $ options. I'm no 68-69 expert, but I think only the 2-dr. had a power antenna option and that a Right side mirror would have only been available as a dealer installed option.

The 8 track must have been added later as that's not a 68 unit. It's nice to see the Guide-madic eye mounted at the right spot and painted as it should be.

6 hours left, still at $8100.

Because in all reality it's not worth much more. It's cool yes, it's low mileage, but a very very small market for such a car. $10k IMHO, I would dig it in my garage, but real is real.

Was the Guidematic only available as a dealer installed option? Mine was mounted in that position but never painted and I never realized it should have been.

It was dealer installed (at least in 67 it was)
