Semi-gloss on the flat side ou: I used semi-gloss when I repainted mine and it did not come out too glossy :TU:
The inside area should be painted in a semi gloss black. The pictures that Chris posted there, are correct for the 68 GS grill.
Even with the wrong grill, I would still drive it. I happen to know where I can get a grill to replace that one. :TU:
Mr David Roth, If you really did want this car, I am sure that we could make sure you had that amount in your hands rather quickly. Maybe it is time to be like Monte Hall and play "Lets make a Deal" !!! :Brow:
Thanks Mark Thanks Mark :TU: But I think I will do one at a time, that way I can get them done faster and they get all my attention. After all April is just around the corner. But the next car I get or trade for will be a 4 speed or Conv. So if you are thinking trade.... :Brow: David
68 Gs 400 A couple of things...It is missing the front and rear seat buttons and the door panel's are missing the stainless trim that circles around the panel. But I would give amost anything to have that wood wheel!! David R
What about the front buckets on that car they look like my 67 seats not lke 68 with seat button on the back? o No:
Mike- are the 'wood' wheels correct? I have seen them for the camaro/chevelle/vette crowd but they were incorrect..... And this is the cap that is hard to find? David- there is a way to reproduce the wood grain effect on a 16" sport wheel. I saw Chip Foose (yuk) perform the technique on a steering wheel and it came out quite well. The chopper who was chopping up my car sold one (complete) for $150. Then this one was recent ou: :eek2: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/1968...egoryZ140729QQihZ002QQitemZ120060177069QQrdZ1
Mark- knew you won it.... the 'lob' in the ebay handle name gave it away. How are you liking your 68, BTW? You heard it a bunch of times, but it is quite a beautiful 68 :TU:
It actually is a pretty nice wheel. I bought one a couple of years ago for a different car. The center cap is the only draw back for the Buick.
Thank you George, It is probably the nicest 68 GS I have ever seen. What an incredible restoration David did to this car.
wood wheel Hey Mark...I think your wood wheel would look real nice on a blue and white 69 that I know of. David R
