From a previous thread it was called the W1 and it was used on sedans and had the center sphere on the hood, fender gills, GS badging and grille.. The W31 was an Oldsmobile option for a factory hotrod screamer with a 350. Ray
It looks like the seller updated the ad.....even the 'GS' emblems were removed! With the new info posted here, you can now tell the seller it is a GS (sort of)! And it just may be a very rare car! Wonder if he'll update the ad again??? Interesting car, I never knew that option existed. Kind of a 'factory cloned GS'. I'm surprised they ever offered that option. Were all the 'Special' emblems deleted when this option was specified?
ad ammended he has changed ad and is now calling it a special delux which i dont think it is either since its a post car not hardtop
Hey...MY feet are clean!! So what car is this guy selling and wouldn't the trim tag codes help?? o No:
I called this guy and explained to him exactly what he has.He sounds really confused now. Poor guy. Tim
I,m confused too. Had a 67 Special deluxe and never saw one like this. Never knew about that GS option thing. I suspect the seats came from some other car like an Olds, Pontiac, or Chevy. The trunk trim might have come from a 66. Roger
It is a 67 special with a w-1 trim option code, which was a GS appearence package. It is not a special deluxe,it is a special .The trunk trim is correct for the car 66 trim wouldn't come close to fitting a 67. Tim
You mean to tell me that in 67 a Skylark could have GS badging only and not be a real GS? Boy am I glad that changed after 67.
