It’s a bit of a Frankenstein carb, 78 Buick main body, and a 80s regal throttle plate. I don’t know what the air horn came off of

One of tbe beauties of tne Rochester is each major change hapened about every 4 yrs. As long as you have the same style you can swap tops bottoms and middles with minor modification.

Not sure about the 67 Rivs but I know my 69 has this center support bearing and rubber isolator for the two piece driveshaft and from what I've heard/read it's a hard part to source in the repop world as one of them isn't made right so it's useless. I know I'll probably have to do mine along with the 5 U-joints (original ones with plastic injection still on the car) sometime soon as I have a slight intermittent vibration around the 50-60 mph range when cruising.

Wow. I had no idea they were plastic injected that long ago. I thought c clips were used into thel late 70s early 80s. I always hated the plastic injected. Strange. I had a 73 Riveria drive shaft cut down for my set up. It had clips. Well after you do the rebuild. At least you can change the u joints anywhere .

The nightmare part of changing these injected u-joints is you heat them up to melt the plastic to remove them but in doing so you heat up the grease in the cap and it causes pressure and the caps can come flying off and seriously injure you or a bystander  I may take it to a shop for this first set of u-joints:D

67 , 68, 69. Are almost identical. On most 69 s the rear flange of the drive shaft the part that bolts to the rear end yolk is round. Most 68s ive seen and mine is square. Ive not seen many 67s but in all the manuals their the same. The hardest part to find is tbe knuckle on each CV joynt. Luckly that part dosent wear much if greased. The spring and cup wears and is avaible. The u joynts are slimmer in the middle to make room for the cv joynt. Ive had no problems with a new center support and bearing. With 5 u joynts 2 CV jounts, a center support and bearing its a good idear to have it ballanced at a good drive line shop. My 68 has clips but my spare a 69 has the plastic injection.

Yes the rear flange is round on my 69 Riv. Have you replaced the center support bearing and rubber isolator on your Riv? If so where did you source it from?

Driveline center on tea garden st. In san leandro Ca. I had it shortened, bigger tubes/ shafts, new joynts, cv kits, center support and bearing, and the 2 piece rubber replaced with straight shaft no vulcaized rubber. And balanced. About 10 yrs ago for around 4something. Under 500. Shortened because the 700r4 is longer and different spline yolk.

I took my 67 complete unit to a driveshaft shop that does trucks (uses lots of big hammers) because of slight vibration. Vibrated worse after..... brought it back and they checked it said OK. Told me I must have not marked rear flange and installed non indexed. Tried flipping...no change. Pulled one from parts car and smooth......
Maybe too tight somewhere? Or having all new and tight amplified some other issue? Never figured it out.....

I find having a few friends over is a good motivator. Other car guys.
