I just sent Jim an email with a link to the CCTOL ad and a few questions.
This really chaps my rear.

I'm tempted to screw with the CCTOL guy, but I'd hate to mess with him right now though.... I bet he hasn't even paid for the car or picked it up yet. I wouldn't want to screw anything up for Jim with his eBay deal. He really needs the cash from the sale from the way it sounded. :(

This is Jim the guy that sold the 66 gs on ebay. The guy that bought the car from me does live in Denver Colorado. The man that bought it from me is named David Jaffe. The phone number in his ad is not the same phone number that he sent me. He has not picked up the car yet. If this is the guy trying to sell a car on cctol I would like to know also. Thanks, Jim

    Come on..

What is the result of the whole IP address thing? Just come on out and tell us please? I'm at my office and being the most informed person here when it comes to systems etc., (which is definitely NOT to say I know what the he** I'm talking about) I just don't want to blow up anything with my computer system.

    Hi Jim
I didn't realize you were a member here. :Dou:

    Did you get my email?
I'm sure it's the same guy... and your car. Especially if he sent George the same pictures THAT I TOOK.
    :(

Your eBay ad stated in black and white, in no uncertain terms, that the engine was NOT numbers matching. This guy sounds like a con artist.

Yes that is my car and I know that the numbers don't match. He is obviously out to try to screw someone.

Jim I would not let that car out of my sight until that check has been CLEARED by my bank. You could end up being the one being screwed.

He has not even called me yet about when he is going to pick up the car so I should have time to make sure the check is good. When he does call I will ask him about his scam!

I agree. We're ruthless when it comes to scams! That's one advantage of being a smaller close knit group. I'm proud to be a part of it! :beer :beer :TU:

Maybe he hasn't called yet because he is trying to sell the car first and maybe he is just going to ship it directly to the new owner?

Once the check clears, you can tell him you need storage fees if he doesn't come and get it right away.

    Chris might be right.

Good idea. Maybe I should hit him with about $4000 dollars in storage fees so he doesn't make any money in his scam.
