cowl hood would have to be a custom job no one makes one i see your in louisville if down around your way id like to take a look at it if i am ill pm before i head that way
Nice! Noone makes a bolt on cowl hood. I know of a pin on though. I was going to get a steel cowl scoop and graft it onto my stock hood, IF I decide I want it and can use the cearance.
thats the easy way to go is just use a cowl and weld it on your hood not sure i would but if you need clearance thats your only choice
This guy: http://www.glasstek.com/ will glass a 4" scoop onto a pin-on hood but it costs and arm and a leg. But I did get my fiberglass bumpers from him and they were top notch.
yeah but pins sure would take away the clean lines which if you could i wouldnt run that scoop it takes away the lines too
Im working on a 'mild' custum 65,, I've rebuilt the 401,,put a mild shaft in it from Carmen Faso,,msd "ready to run" ignition,,,TA performance headers,,magnaflow X style exhaust,,a 200R4 from an 87 Monte Carlo,(CZF Code) posi 3:55,,running an aluminum rad,,electric spal fan and custum aluminum shroud,,vintage air system,,and am currently installing a painless wiring kit!!! As far as body mods go,,,all i've done is smooth the fender holes,,,and since it started life as a skylark,,,not a GS,,got ride of the side mouldings,,fire wall is also smoothed!!! I love the look of the pic you posted,,,,all I have to say is build it how you want to,,,,as far as Im concerned,,,buick,,chev,,dodge,,all had their turn at building it,,,now its your (my) turn to do it the way we want,,,,if others don;t like it,,,look the other way!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I like the rendering and the stance. But I would keep it Buick powered. An EFI and turbocharged 401 or 455 would get twice the attention at shows or SEMA. A dual quad 401 intake converted to EFI with twin throttle bodies backed with a T-56 would be trick. Are you having someone build the car? Did you have the rendering done? In the end its you car build it like you want.
I'm building the car, but I had the rendering done by Kris Horton at Cars By Kris www.carsbykris.com.
