    Harle ,

Your right ... I've been working way too many hours .
The two pictures you attached both look to be the same ( my car ) ?

Just finished our Photo Show last weekend so now it's time to start having some summer fun with the car .

Took the 3.90 gear out and put in a 3.23 . Much , much better for regular driving around here .

Your car looks GREAT and WAY TOO FAST ! LOL

    Take care , George

    Harle ...

By gosh your right ... sorry for not looking real close the first time . Main difference I see is tires and exhaust ( at least in those pictures ) .

You know it may be worth a trip to your place just to see that beautiful ride . Who did the paint ? As strange as this may seem if I come into a little more cash I've been thinking of sending out the GS for a frame off job , making it a #1 car .

    We will see , George

    O.K. I'm confused????

    George, long time no see.
Forgive me if I missed something. Did you finally find another 65? Or did you
buy your old one back? What happened with the white Colorado car?

    Tom ,

Bought my old one back . Which was Harle's car before I bought it . Could never put together a deal on the white GS . They were just a little nuts on the price . To the best of my knowledge that car never sold , and I'm sure it will show up again somewhere .

    My newest family member

    I used to own a 65 Special with a 455/th350 combo that I had a blast with,
sold the car and last I could track it, it ended up down in Indiana(Muncie?)

So with a failed attempt to buy that back, I bought a 65 Gran Sport:TU:
Rally's and Redlines soon to come!
Sorry about Hi-Jacking your thread Harle, now back to your beautiful car :3gears:
    And, Welcome back George!!!!

I had to do a body off on my car because they told me the old body was shot and it was, So i found a skylark post car down in central Indiana that was in decent shape and they did the swap. The body shop that did the work is called Automotive Unlimited there in a small town 6 miles north of me.I ran around with the owner in the late 60's and early 70's so he gave me a deal on the job. Tom I thought you just bought a 65 wildcat? Now 65 skylark gran sport? We need to see some pictures of this thing when you get it home. Well I'am off to my first car show with the car today It's at the local Chevy dealer I may have to put a bowtie decal on it to win :Dou: :Dou:

Had a Wildcat GS, now a skylark

    Harle,
had to sell the Wildcat GS to take care of some financial obligation's with the
Hospital (It's expensive paying for a newborn)
Ended up with just enough money to buy the Gran Sport :Brow:
Mine is the white one posted above with the black vinyl top and ugly spinner
    hub cap's.
Harle, I may need to get ahold of you to check on some possible spare part's
that you may have. My car is going to be a driver, so good used part's will be
just fine on this car. Need a driverside rocker panel molding, and if you have
them, a set of wheel opening molding's? :Do No:
The dog dishes give your car a killer look, I thought about doing that to mine
after seeing your picture's, but by the time I buy a set of dog dishes, have a
set of wheel's painted and buy tire's, I'll be way more money into it than I
would be with rally wheel's,and the budget just doesn't allow that right now.

Congratulations on the newborn. I know about the money thing, they shipped out my job to Mexico just after i got my car out of the body shop. I have a drivers side rocker around here somewhere but it's driver quality. the one's one my car suck too .Did the wildcat stay in the midwest somewhere? I'll try to get a picture of the rocker posted this weekend. As for the wheel opening moldings don't have any there were rare on the thin pillar coupes. Harle :3gears:

Harle, the Wildcat went to Illinois to a good home.
How did you do at the show today?

Forgot to mention that I removed all the nasty window tint today :af:
But the hard work was worth it, look's much cleaner/nicer with clear glass :TU:

What a great job you did on this car! I'd rather have it than a Ford thunderbolt anyday!

    Harle,

Your radio delete plate... is that an insert you made or is it an original part?

Love your car and the look is right on! I've been working on my 65 GS "factory lightweight for about 6 years now. Deleted the AC (went to a non AC heater system) and swapped in a manual steering box. IMO theres nothing like the look of a nailhead with only headers and an alternator attached. For wheels Im going with stamp steels in the back with repro 60s cheater slicks (no hub caps) and factory mags in the front. My dream is to have it on the road sometime mid next summer (well see). Did I say I love your car and the look in right on?
