The 65 GS was restored by James Meyers(a BCA member in Algoma,WI) in 1991. In my conversation with him, he told me that he rebuilt the engine & trans, put patch panels in body and floor & trunk pans, replated the bumpers, interior was replaced with NOS parts and added the engine dress up package. James restored this GS for Bob Cyr also from the same area of WI.

Bob Cyr showed the GS often and sold it in 1998 to Dave McAllister of Lena,WI. Dave took one trip of about 400 miles with the GS and then parked it in his barn. Dave had a lot of "toys" and this was common practice for him!

I bought the GS in 2006 from Dave, as he had health problems and was selling off his toys.

The GS survived the barn storage of 7 years because it was an insulated, concrete floored barn with no windows. After the GS was delivered to me, I replaced the entire brake system(booster, too), heater core, tires, all belts and hoses, rebuilt the carb and distributor(added Pertronix), complete tune up, new trunk mat and floor mats, added a rear sway bar, replaced the cracked steering wheel with a reproduction and installed a Magnaflow exhaust system. There were many other parts replaced as well. Total parts cost of just over $4000.00.
The paint was buffed out several time to clean up the storage dirt. The GS was covered most of the time in the barn, but there are still "scars" from the barn years.

The GS is numbers matching throughout, with ps,pb,auto, tinted windows, back up lights, tach in console,am radio, 3:08 open rear end.The exterior is burgundy mist(N-N) with a black interior.

This is probably a no.3 car due to the condition of the paint(scratches). The car shows well and will win trophies in car shows with a field of 60-70 cars( in the Chicago area). No one else has a stock 65 GS !!

I am asking $15,500.00 OBO. GS is now located in Prescott,AZ. More photos to come...site is not letting me upload all photos:spank:

Brucer, so this is your car. I saw it on e-bay last night. Man, what a nice ride. About the scratches. Can they be buffed out or does it need new paint. How many feet away? VERY Tempting. I know I could get a loan. But as soon as the Government can quit playing in their sandbox I don't get my VA Disability Check. Whiners. No, I'm not Too Pissed. :ball:

Thanks, Ponch. There are only 2 scratches and they would need to be painted. I have shown the GS for 7 years and the scratches don't stop the admirers. :kodak:

Bruce, Where the scratches B At? I'm an admirer myself, Damm nice car. So it's in Prescut,(Arizona Speek according to my Tucson Brother). That's a 3-4 Day Trip. I cant even Imagine the cost for gas driving it back. I just wish you were closer. Also the best offer thing.

    Admirer PONCH. :TU:

Also, The overspray on the Trunk Seal, can it be removed or does it need a new seal. Really not a big deal.
Have you sold it yet? Dreaming but also tempting.
