    I have an 87 GN, two 66 GSs and a 70 LT1 Vette and I'm just as happy driving my 65 Specials. My favorite car is my 38 business coupe, straight eight.

    Hey guys not really a engine question but does anyone know if the seats from a 64-65 gto will fit a 66 skylark. I know I'll need brackets. I was also thinking about the procar low backs those would fit and be eaiser to deal with as well as cheaper, but have never seen them in person. Not sure of the quality.

    Are the 2bbl and 4bbl heads the same? If so, I'll have the young'un try his hand at porting the 2bbl heads in the garage. If that goes well, he can put them on the 300-4V that's in the car.

    Yes they are the same as far as I know.

    I've put 65 Lemans seats in a 64 Special. I know they changed seats in '66 but they probably bolt up the same.

    2brl and 4brl heads are the same. The pistons are different, 2 brl has 9:1 compression ratio ans 4 brl has 10.25 : 1 compression. Some books say 11:1 but that's a carryover misprint from the 215.

    Thanks guys, we'll start carving. He thought setting the initial timing was a pretty cool process. We'll see how he likes the die grinder...
