It is because the buying public wants a car that they can get in and drive with todays comforts and dependability. Not many of todays business men or woman would want to drive a 68 Mustang Fastback every day, but the might enjoy a little nostalga in there new car.

How many of us use their Pre-72 vehicle every day? I for one do. It is by choice too. I bought a brand new car 3 years ago, and it sits in the driveway. My old burb is my daily driver and even my long distance driver from Phx to Chicago, and many other places.

    gs4u2c Is that a 442?

I don't care for the looks of the 300 at all. And I would agree that the magnum is rather odd looking at first, but for me it has grown on me and I think they're quite innovative looking. The roof kind of looks like a chopped Volvo wagon, but I've driven one and they're pretty quick and nimble for theire size. As far as the Velite goes, the styling will determine the success, not just the speed. Compare 26985 Azteks to 77307 Rendezvous' for 2003. Same platform, similar prices, very different looks.
