Sean, I called Art Carr, at CPT, talked to him personally, real nice guy and He talked good about the guys in the buick clubs, and he had nothing on file, but the serial numbers on the trans and conv. tell him its from the art carr in Texas that bought his company & name in 07'. BUT, He is still trying to get the money for his name that they didn't pay for yet.

(Illegally using Art Carr name for buisness.),

Spent a $1 million in lawyer fee's and got nowhere,

His view on the trans, said it should hold up behind my 455 seeing that it was in a 10:30 GN.

He's also big on non lock up trans for street/strip cars, less breakage for input shafts than a lock up. :Do No:

I'll be talking to chris white later at (white racing) around 3:30 today,
to see if he remembers this trans and what was done to it. :puzzled:

    I'll keep you posted, Jerrold

    new: 200-r4, non-lock-up, follow up!

The follow up!! Called Chris White of (white racing) very smart on these 200-r4. He said if he done anything on this trans that the WR serial # would be on it in one of 3 locations, he's been stamping evey trans WR# since 2001 and I couldnt find it anywhere.

Chris spent nearly 45 mins, on the phone with me going thru his books looking for the factory serial # that he rights down in his books since 2001, naata!! nothing. Soooo! looks like a wing and a prayer that I got something good.

He did confirm one thing for me to look at and that its for sure a non-lockup trans, but the trans is not on his books back to 2001, the kid said he bought from him in 06', could have been name dropping here for a quick sale.

Chris did offer to open it up for $200. and go from there :Dou: more :dollar: if it has the good stuff in it, he puts it back together with new gaskets.

Or we go to the $1500. unit with all his tricks for 12 to 9sec. cars, or the billet drum & tricks & dynoed $2000. and up unit, :Dou:

WOW did this get out of hand!! I just wanted a useable R4 in my street/strip car or ragtop, :Do No: well at least I got a $700. Art Carr conv. in the deal, OHH! wait a minute does it work! :Do No: don't know till I try it.

Back to the drawing board!! :Comp:
