2 more broken valve springs

    When my spring broke the spring pocket was not deep enough and the spring was moving around. This happened very long time ago, but this might be the problem here.

    I think cam failures are more caused by not using the correct break in oil. I took the inner spring out on mine to break in the cam and all is good now.

    Any chance the springs got damaged? nicks, rust, etc.

    After I told my machinist buddy what I did, he laughed at me and called me a dumb ass. He then made me a .200 adapter for the micrometer. I think that I will just double check my pushrod length and rocker geometry. If everything looks good, I'll just replace the other 15 springs. IMG_0001 - Copy (3).JPG IMG_0002 - Copy.JPG
