Seven thousand?!? I had a hard enough convincing the Mrs. for me to get my '72. I won't be able to pull off another, not logistically or financially, that doesn't mean I can't dream. Man, this is an absolutely amazing deal! Best of luck with the sale. Somebody's going to get a great car here.

Isn't there already a hole in the block for the dipstick?

Yes, but not the girdle. I'm not the only guy that has overlooked the dipstick. I've seen a couple others that keep a stick in the car to check oil. TA should drill these out when the are machining the girdles, then absent minded people like me wouldnt have this problem :Smarty:

I filled the oil, cut a stick that will just touch the oil when full, mounted a tube in the block. It works, but it's not correct.

For those that requested interior pics etc. I will not be able to post them tomorrow. I forgot that my camera is out of town. I should be able to on Wednesday.

    Thanks
    Doug

  11. Question. Would you consider selling me the car minus the engine? I am looking for a street cruiser and would rather put in a much milder engine. I am also limited on funds but would like to put a 73 together as my first new car was a 73 Century 350.

Then I will be in for the motor:TU: depending on the price.
