Welcome to V8. From another local.

I have a suncoupe, but it is a parts car. Badly rusted and I sold the roof parts to keep another one alive. There are people on this site that will respond, that will have parts and information that you can use.

How long have you had the car?

Glad to see another Sun Coupe in Texas. Welcome!
You need to register your car on Steve Caruso's Sun Coupe Registry at http://www.carusoperformance.com/suncoupe.html

Also, see if these diagrams help with putting the car back together.

There are some great people on this site that can and will be very helpful. All you have to do is ask what you need.

Welcome to the board. :beer I've only been here a bit longer than you, but I've found the folks here to be very helpful.

I definitely recommend you register with Steve Caruso's Sun Coupe Registry as Dean suggested - Steve can send you a packet of good information on the Sun Coupe including parts lists and service bulletins to help you work on the top.

Man you dont know how much it means to have so many people willing to help.. I have been checking the car out a little at a time.. well i took it into the shop yesterday and decided to go over the driveline and brakes... so far so good. only issue i have found is the oil pressure drops to near nothing... at an idle. anyone know what these buicks run at a warmed up idle? i will be calling on some of yall to get this car rolling thanks guys!

Ok the registry has been done and I look forward to getting some things done to the car this week. I will post pics.

Buicks tend to have lower oil pressure at idle than some. You might need to put a booster plate on your oil pump available from TA performance.

We'll be glad to help you out if we can. Not too far away.

I'll second what Mark said about the booster plate. I just installed gauges and discovered that my car has the same issue with low oil pressure at hot idle, so I'll be getting one of the plates on order soon myself. Here is a direct link to the item Mark is talking about:

    http://www.taperformance.com/proddetail.asp?prod=TA_1510

If you do a search on this board for "low oil pressure" you'll see a lot of discussions about the issue - it's fairly common on these cars.

ok thanks i will get that one on order along with a lower end kit. The next question i have is does anyone have a 4 barrel intake you would be willing to part with cheap lols.

Bryan, I have several Q jets, but I don't think I have a 350/4 intake at this time, but may soon.

You could ask in the parts wanted section. Stock intakes are heavy to ship.

Nice to see another SunCoupe owner here. I know what you mean by "fell in love with the car" they are a blast. Put up some pics of your new ride, I'm also curious as to what options your car came with?
