Of course it's not mine. Gonna have to empty your piggy bank. https://www.ebay.com/itm/1972-Buick...ash=item4d68b88ea8:g:82IAAOSw5dlaF2qC&vxp=mtr
I think there claim of "ONE OF FEW IF ANY THAT CAN CLAIM 100% ORIGINAL FACTORY SHEET METAL." is way, way off. I personally know of at least three with all original sheet metal, and mine with that plus all original glass including windshield. So, I would think there are quite a few others out there.
This car was listed on here earlier this year for $39k/reasonable offer. Same car, right? Seemed like a deal @ the time actually. http://www.v8buick.com/index.php?threads/72-stage-1-big-red.152629/#post-1189694
Maybe they heard about Jason cook, and knew that if they wanted at least $39k for it, they had to put an insane price on it because of the discount they are talked into giving.. ?
Yes that's the same car but the ad you linked for $39k was from 9 years ago, not earlier this year. The car was advertised but the last owner (Ron) for $70s if I remember correctly. Ron did lots of improvements to the car during his ownership. The new seller is just wasting his time even listing the car for such a ridiculous price. Even if he took off one of the zeros from the price it won't sell. It's still one of my favorite Buicks of all time and I kick myself for not buying it from Jim for $39k.
I hate when I forget to look @ the dates. Still @ $70k with a lot of improvements not unrealistic for a unique piece of history.
It's not just your opinion because when it was for sale recently it was listed at a price that was way below six-figures and no one bit for a long time.
What is original sheet metal worth? The rear end, trans and engine is not the original or the one that was raced???
Probably blown up with a hole in the block and sent back to Buick engineering so they can figure out what failed! Lol
