    I see it's one of those rare 1971 "Grand" Sports

    It's a Grand car, but not a Grand Sport. :TU:

    I know what you mean though, if there were a true "Grand" sport, it would be extremely rare. :laugh:

    Beautiful car! That will make someone a nice one. Looks like some of the rubber goods such as the glass weatherstripping wasn't replaced but may need to. IMHO, I also don't car for the pinstriping on the sides and around scoops. Very, very nice though!!

    This was WolverineMW's car for a short while and buick71gs' car before that for several years.

    Please someone talk me out of bidding on this car. I love the color.

    I will mention a few things:

    the wheel caps appear incorrect ( no biggie);

    pinstripe on the fenders and scoops are incorrect ( May or may not be removed w/o a lot of work);

    the trunk suggests it is and/or was a mess just covered up;

    looks like patch panels in the quarters.

    It makes me want to really see the frame and floor boards up close and personal.

    Would be nice if he had the correct center caps on the wheels and finshed painting the ribs on the tail lights!

    Any positives. What is it worth ? Nothing listed can't be fixed with a little work and alot of speculation without seeing the car. Come on -- don't be shy. :laugh:

    I'm like you...

    The more I see that green with the pearl int, the more I LOVE it. :Smarty: :TU:

    Wish I had the money, I'd buy it and sell my stage (I back to thinking it is never getting out of body shop jail). :ball:

    Well the bumper can't be to rare if it is on a 71 since they didn't make the N-25 for that year. Not that it couldn't be a 72 transplated onto it. And to me that quality of a paint job is just not screaming $20K plus.

    Jea, You should talk to both of the guys on the board who used to own it if you REALLY like it!

    I am sure Bill (WolverineMV) can tell you what he sold it for and whether it looks like anything has been done since.

    That is not what I have been told here on this board, I have started threads about N-25 bumpers before and everyone was telling me that it was a 72 option only.

    I have already read that thread, but it does not tell me much at all. It doesn't get into details about what was offered in 71 and 72.

    There was a previous thread on the car. Owner was asking 33k at Carlise. Also previous owners listed. If it is a numbers matching car gotta be worth close to that amount.

    Andrew, N-25 was offered in 1971 and in 1972. I have the N-25 option on our 1971 Black GSX and it was factory installed according to the buildsheet found in the car.

    1972 N-25's were different than the 1971 N25's only in the fact that '72 rear bumpers were different than '71 bumpers. '72's had the nameplate in the center as well as holes for the rubber strips around the taillights.
