Theres something about the silver i don't like, maybe because theres no chrome mirrors or vinyl top to break it up. Or I have bad taste for Skylarks and GS's. If its a true GS i think it would have a different steering wheel, right? o No: Don't care for the speakers.
It has butchered seats and door panels. Wrong color in the trunk and the paint is dull and lifeless. other than that it looks ok. That is the correct steering wheel on some GS's
Restored? Looks like the trunk floor has been replaced. Notice the seam sealer right below the rear body panel.
Lets see I ve seen more. Bumper hits grill ,no console lid chrome peice, needs one of my hose hooks, your right the trunk has been replaced, chevelle exhaust tips, sport mirrors are hanging way to far out, rh park lamp is cock eyed, just to mention a few
Tuff crowd :Brow: There are a few things wrong but it's a nice place to start! I love the color but it does look a little lifeless. What's up with the green steering wheel (maybe it just looks that way) and the seats and door panels look wrong????? My GS has that steering wheel also.
Quick question, I always had thought that the 455's came with 12 bolt rearends from the factory? This GS has the 10 bolt, why is that?
Tuff crowd is right. I like the car. Yes, it is not all correct, and may have a less than perfect paint job, but that is what I like about it. It is affordable and capable of being driven very often. Unlike a perfect resto, or 500 mile car. I like the color of the car too.
That car brings back some seriously good memories. Other than the steering wheel the silver GS is almost identical to the first GS I had at 16. Yep, 16 years old and bought the car with my father's help in 1977. 900 dollars To this day I think the silver GS are the best looking.... George
For 1970 only, the hose hook bolts onto the fan shroud and the upper radiator hose rests on this hook. Here is a picture -
It's an $8,000---$10,000 car, that's it !!!!!!!!!!!!!! :TU: :TU: :TU: ***(the dealer probably paid $5,000-$6,000 for it, fixed the trunk and any other rust, threw an EL-CHEAPO paint job on it and is now trying to make a killing on it.)
Marco, you forgot I'm in the BIZZZZZZ !!!!!! I got one right now I could do the same thing to. (not my car).......... I know I could buy it for $4,000-$5,000....send it to my guys who would make it nicer than that one....spend maybe another $5,000. Now I'm into it for $9,000-$10,000, put it on E-Bay and hope the market doesn't change. This process takes to much time.........to make maybe $5,000. I could take that same $10,000, buy a few cars and double that money in (1) one week. *Right now he's got a nickle and dime bidder on it, that's when I start wondering if I'm gonna' get paid or not..........usually it's "NOT"!!!!!!!!
