Maybe somebody switched out a 69 filler at some point, like after an accident? Who knows -- definitely a 70, definitely three pieces.

Weird, my 70 had a 3 peice setup on it too. Kept dropping the outer sections down into the bumper when I had the change the tail lights.

Steve / Dale - here's a pic off a current 4 Sale (complete car). Looks like it's one piece - not a bad looking '70, shorty skirts too ! :TU:

    Hey Steve,

Which yard was the Riv in? Was it Mac's Millions? I'm interested in the 455. How much of it was gone?

    Thanks,
    Donny (Palm Beach)

No, it was in the U-Pull-It yard on 441 south of 595.

I was there when someone started pulling the heads, or else I would have had them. Block is there but pretty much stripped.

    Steve,

I went at the same yard about 10 years ago and there was a white 69 Riviera with a black custom interior. It had a front end accident. I took the power seat tracks and the outside mirror out of it. One good thing about this yard was the price list with fixed prices, the mirror was 8$.
There was another yunkyard not too far from that (in Dania?), I think it was called "Millions of Parts" or someting like that. I also got parts from old Buicks there but they were less inexpensive! That was about 10 years ago. Since you live in Fort Lauderdale, do you know if the 78-79 LeSabre Turbo that was parked next to a building for many years on route 1 near the airport is still there? I haven't been there since 1997.
My grand parents used to live in a mobile home park near Griffin and Ravenswood and these were my two favourite spots when I visited them!

Millions of Parts is one of my regular stops. No admission fee, cars aren't stripped the instant they arrive, but you gotta get what you can right away, or else. The guys that work there seem to crush cars on a whim -- Some cars last forever; some last one week. All depends what kinda mood the front-end loader man is in, I guess.

No idea on the old turbo car, but my guess is no -- they've redone so much around there that it / it's owner are bound to be gone.

    Steve,

Have you had a chance to compare the defrost grill from the '70? I'd still be intrested in that. Let me know if you can help. Thanks

No, didn't compare yet, plus I left town. looks the same as the picture of the 1968 grille, from what I can tell. Hopefully I'll do it this weekend.

I remember that the turbo car was parked next to a garage or small building not very far from the Alamo car rental store. It was there every year I went there. At the same Alamo car rental store, I once saw a 1986 LeSabre Grand National. One of 117! It was driven by a woman and it didn't seem to be in very good shape. I was amased to see how many old Buicks had survived there compared to here! And it seemed that one car out of 5 was a 90's LeSabre. This isn't the case here either! It's strange to see how the weather does different things to cars in Florida and here. The plastic taillights on pre-69 Buicks were often damaged by the sun in Florida while they rarely are here. The roofs and hoods also suffered more from the sun exposure than here but the floors, frames and sill plates were intact!
And the plastic extensions on most 1974-1985 GM cars seemed to be missing in Florida while they rarely are here.

    Dale --

I've got all three parts for a 1969 / possibly 1970 rear bumper filler now. You still want 'em?

I'm hesitant to buy them if they are from a '69.
I'd have to be sure they also fit '70.
What are you thinking for price though?

Gratis. Sent you something wrong one before. This'll even things out.

I'll also include one (1) salvegeable front bumper brace.

Price is firm. Don't try to haggle me down.

I wondered if you remembered. But wasn't going to invade Florida over it.

    You got a deal! :beer
Need me to PM my address to you? Or do you still have it?
    Thanks! :TU:

    Rear defrost

    Steve,

I got your PM. Tried to reply but your inbox was full.

Yes, I am still intrested in the rear defrost unit. Either the grill or the entire unit. PM me the details you have.

    Thanks

    Dale --

Sent the rear bumper fillers today. Center piece has red paint on but maybe you can clean it up. Left and right pieces are quite nice.

    Forgot the front bumper brace.
