Car was evidently complete last saturday AM when I ALWAYS go junking, but noooo, i was putting up a fence all weekend at one of the wife's rental properties. :ball:

1970 Riv GS, Auto AC, cruise, rear defroster, 455, I assume it has a posi.
Bad body panels all around. Engine is now stripped. Interior is stripped except for black belts and rear defroster with package shelf. Had buckets and a console. Wheel well trim is dinged. Original road wheels w/o caps.

Any minor parts you need, let me know.

    Steve,

High Profile or Full Bodied fender skirts ?

    Full Bodied skirts:

(Note: Look at the traditional Dutch wooden shoes with optional Buick Tri-Shields  )

    High Profile skirts:

    Couple things.

Front bumper support brackets, that run from the top of the core support to the top of the grille surround. And the rear bumper filler.

    70 Riv

    Still need a glovebox Steve - #1383737.
Not sure what's in a Auto AC Riv, but it may be #1383736 which is too large.
    LMK Thanks ! :beer :TU:

    Dale --

You still need a torsion bar for the driver's door?

Have the center rear bumper filler. One side filler was shot. same as a 69? I have the other parts on my parts car.

Bumper support brackets should still be there.

    Rivman --

Gone. But I have one in a 69 AC car. Will that work?

    Rusty --

You're kidding, right? didn't have one anyways.

    Bad Boattail --

Full body, but passenger side is rusted through.

    Steve,
I no longer need that door part.
I'm not sure if the bumper filler from a '69 is the same or not. :Do No:

The bumper brackets I'd like though.

Thanks Steve, but it won't work (got 2 of them #1383736) - gotta be '68 to '70 Riv non AC,
or '68 LeSabre, Wildcat, Electra with AUTO AC (#1383737).
Please keep me in mind on future yard excursions. :beer :TU:

    Bumper filler

Dale - think the '69 filler is same as '68, and the '70 is different (exclusive to '70). :TU:

I would bet that is true also. :beer

What's wierd is that the 1970 in the yard has a 1970 rear bumper and a three-piece bumper filler just like a 1969 -- possibly shaped differently, though.

Your picture looks like a single piece, or is it just a deceptive angle / poor clarity?

I couldn't tell you, as I have never actually seen one intact on a car. They seem to be missing from most.
There is also supposed to be one under the front bumper, but again they are usually missing.
I got those pics off an internet search.

Can you get a pic next time back Steve - just curious ? :Do No:

    Dale --

I have the rear center piece. The left and right pieces are split in two.

The front filler under the bumper is there, but may be cracked. You want it?

The driver's side bracket was broken at the weld at the forward end. If you are a welder, you could fix it up in a jiffy.

The passenger bumper bracket is okay -- blast it up and it will pass. Looks rough, and I just hope it isn't about to crack like the other.

I'm pulling the rear defrost set up if anyone needs it. Looks good, nice grill, could even work.

I'm pulling the cruise switch at the brake pedal. Any other cruise parts are up for grabs.

    Rear defrost

    Steve,

Is the rear defrost grill the same for a '68 (or '70 exclusive)? If so, I'm intrested.

Just a note to everyone else that Steve is unable to help out, I also have a '70 Riv that I'm using as a parts car for my '68. Anything that I can't use for the '68 is for sale.

Feel free to PM me with your needs.

    Furiousgoat --

Personally, the units look the same to me. I have an NOS 69 defroster unit in the attic. I'll compare the two tonight. I pulled the entire defroster setup back out of the wiring harness, and I grabbed the package shelf. I'll test the motor when I can.

    Dale --

The front bumper filler is there, but in three pieces. If you are a crazy glue magician you could probably fix it. Probably better off asking furiousgoat
    about his.

I think the rear bumper fillers are the same -- same trunk, same rear fenders, same shaped bumper, why would the fillers be different?

    I'm pretty sure it's the same, Steve / Matt - here's a pic of a '68. :TU:

Good excuse to try our new scanner / Fax / Copier / Coffee maker.

The assembly manual shows it as one piece on the '70.
