I have decided to sell my Stage 1 Silver Mist 1970 GS455. This is one of the nicer restored Stage 1 cars in the country. It has GS Historic Society papers. It is a numbers matching 4 speed, power steering, power brakes, radio delete, non console, bucket seats with rear window defrost GS. The car was restored by Gary Foster about 15 years ago. The car has 64,900 miles on it, and maybe has been driven 50 miles since restoration. It has never been offered for sale to the general public before. The price is $75,000 firm. I can be reached 507 951 1901. durjon1@charter.net

John.....Your car is one of my all time favorites! We must have about the same taste in cars, as I currently own a couple of your old throw aways. If I could swing a pakage deal, with a thrid party we both know, I would own it tomorrow. Good luck in your sale. Jim

    Hi John,

I don't have this car registered as one of the surviving stage1 cars.

Do you mind if I register it based on the documentation provided above?

If so, I would also need the body build date on the cowl. I'm guessing late Dec/early Jan.

If not, just let me know.

    Thank you.

    Thank you John!

In the event you change your heart and decide to keep it, please bring it out to Columbus OH next year at the BPG Nationals for a special tribute to the factory stage1 cars. :beer

WOW, another high quality Minnesota Buick

Hey off topic question, how did you get the state to let you run those 68 plates? I have some 74 plates i want to put on mine and they said no. Or are they just there for show?

Great Car, everything you would want in a stage 1 Car, that car belongs at the BJ auction. I suppose the risk of a no reserve auction might scare me away too.

    Good Luck

This is one of my favorite 1970 Skylarks of all.... I am not ripping on this car at all... I just have a question for the expert 1970 Skylark Buicks. Were the gas tank straps heavy stamped steel (with notches on the ends), light galvanized, painted black or natural?

I hope to see this car in person at the 2010 BPG Nationals. You a have BEAUTIFUL Buick!

    Dan.
