Will a 245/60-15 work without rubbing on the front with Stock 15 x 7 wheels?

    Thanks!

That is the tire size I have on my front 15x7 Buick rally rims - fits great with no rubbing.

Thanks all! I have 245's on the rear and 215's on the front. I plan on moving the 245's to the front and buying 265/60-15 for the rear. I'm looking for more beef in the rear.

    Thanks again:),

    Hi Bob,
What size rim do you have in the rear? If you are going larger than the 245x60x15 tires on the rear you may want to have a 15x8 rim rather than a 15x7 but ask some of the guys here. I run 245x60x15 tires on 15x7 Buick rallys for the front of my car and 275x60x15 tires on 15x8 Buick rallys for the rear. Both front and rear fit with no rubbing.

Stock G-60-15 tires were 26.5 in diameter. 245's are 26.6 so are the closest to stock there is in modern sizes.

    Chris,

    I have stock wheels (15 x 7) all the way around. I believe I've seen a few putting 265's on 7" wheels.

    Thanks,
    Bob

265/60/15's? There is no such animal as far I know? I've got 255/60/15's all around and there is no rubbing.

Bob are you running 15x7 rims and are you stock heighth. I am going to put
255/60s on the back of my GS as want to keep the 7" wide rims.

Yes I have 15x7's and a stock height. IMO the 255/60s look really good on are cars. I had 245/60's but like the 255/60s better.

    I've put a 255-60 on a stock 15x7 with no problems.
you can do it with a 275/60 also but need to keep the psi a tad lower so it doesnt wear the tread in the middle only!
never heards of a 265-60 before..50 series yea..

I think in the new Lucas Tire catalog they show the G-60-15 as being a little taller than 26.5.

A G60-15 tire is 26.44" tall according to my sources.

Would you happen to have any pics of your ride with tire size?

    Thanks

    Those look great.

Excuse my ignorance, but what are the differences/advantages/disadvantages of an 8" rim, as opposed to a 7" rim?

Would an 8" rim be more prone to any potential rubbing than a 7"?

    Thanks
