I agree with you on the battery disconnect. Could be a PA system in there as well. The models usually held a microphone and talked about the car.
That stuff is COOL! We all generally know the priceless value of these two Buicks. I now ponder the location and value of the two mopars. Thanks for the great post.
Wow, thanks for bringing back some distant memories! I was at that show.I was only 14 at that time and it was my very first Auto show. My buddies dad took us. The two strongest memories I have are of the GSX and sitting in various Cudas and Challengers going thru the gears with those pistol grip shifters. I still remember staring at that GSX and saying to myself "there's no way Buick is going to build this car. It's just too wild looking!" Man I wish I would have brought my own camera! Thanks for sharing!
Great pictures. The GTO has special seats in it. The yellow Challenger convertible has a yellow shaker hood (body color). The pink Challenger has a lighter pink stripe down the side. These features were not offered in the production cars. Dennis
Magenta stripes were available on Panther Pink Challengers. A similar stripe was available on the Barracuda as well.
#7 - By any chance do you have photos of a 1970 GTO Judge in White that was at the Chicago Auto Show in 1970?
Thanks for sharing all those great photos Bill :TU: . We all know where the white GSX is today but I wonder what happened to that 70 GTO? Anybody know?
