Nice looking car you have. It is just an opinion of mine but I think you would have much better luck if you just bolted a replacement rust free fender back on it. Since you are in Texas you should be able to find a nice one somewhere close to you. Most of us do not have that luxury of rust free parts in our backyard. It would be an easy thing to do and like I said just my opinion.

    Good luck with the sale.

SORRY about ignoring the latest comments/questions...I've been tied up with some personal stuff and haven't visited the forum for a while.

I know this ad is getting "stale" and has been around too long, but I keep thinking there must be SOMEONE out there who would like to own this car. So I keep bumping it up to the top.

To answer recent comments: As originally stated in ad (and in the link to my photo page), I have a perfect brand new OEM GM fender (with the correct "curve") that goes with the car. Selling price also includes a new reproduction inner fender, a perfect original stainless steel fender-well trim piece, and a new repro battery tray. In other words, all the parts necessary to repair the car. Plus I will include a new heater motor and fan, so you can change them out while the fender is off the car (although the old original factory fan motor is still working just fine).

The car has current inspection and tags. I get it out at least once a week for some exercise, and it runs/drives perfectly. Just installed a brand new battery this past weekend! In my original post I made a big deal about how a long-distance buyer might need to bring a trailer, but truthfully I think the car could be driven cross-country without any problem. You just have to watch the really big bumps, rain gutters, going up steep driveways, etc. or else the tire will rub the inner fender. Take it easy around town and it is no big deal. Out on the highway it would be zero problems.

Sure would like to see this clean old Skylark go to a good home. And remember, I will also seriously consider a trade (plus or minus cash) for something fairly small and economical that can be flat-towed (4 wheels down) behind a motor home, such as a Honda CRV, Honda Element, Jeep Cherokee or Wrangler, etc. Let me know what you got - perhaps we can work something out!

Here's the link (again) to my photo page, where you will find MANY photos and my personal contact info: http://cja.smugmug.com/

    Thanx for your patience.

Bump up. Just put a deposit down on a new-to-me pre-owned Foretravel motor home. I really need the Skylark out of my garage - somebody buy this nice old cruiser!

Back in line. As fate would have it, my daughter is moving to Midland, TX later this month and if you still have the car, I want to look at it when I help move her, which also gives me a truck to load the extra parts into.

    Will PM more info.

    Car is sold!!!!

Well, it took a long time, but my Skylark finally sold. Buyer (new owner) is a forum member who knows Buicks, so it will be in good hands. Thanks to all those who offered me words of encouragement, and to the ones who "looked at it and passed", all I can say is, you missed out on a good one.
