Love the car man but I just bought a sweet 68 BS to build. Already bought several $1000 in parts... Someone will get a REAL DEAL when they snap that up!

Well, the car ended last night, was happy as it hit my reserve and was going to be sold.I contact the buyer, who never even had a phone conversation with me,or came to see the car, about discussing payment and pick up,and this is the responce I get...."hello,I'm sorry, but during the last couple minutes of biddding I was going up with my bidding and thought I was hitting 7,100,by accident hit 8,100 and submitted it,and was to late to retract my bid and the auction ended.I ws only budgeted to go to 7,100."
ARE YOU F..ING KIDDING ME!!!!!! Then asks me if I would take the 7,100!!!!!!
I am dumbfounded and can't beleive this is actually happening, ntm, the ebay fee for final value is $100.00 gonna be charged to me.
I checked the bid numbers he typed, and it was 6,600,then 6,900 then right to 8,000.Now I see why so many sellers put stupid comments like "don't bid unless you have the funds, are a seriuos bidder, ask your wife permission, and on"!!!
I know you can apply for a non -paying buyer, but they send 3 attempts to both parties to try and resolve it,so I can't go slamming him negative feedback, then he might not respond to ebay and I lose out on getting a refund?NTM,,my track record is perfect on ebay, and don't want to see any untrue replys from him on my account.

Even thought about just taking the dam 7,100,but I was not thinking of going that low,so I won't ,nor do I want this guy to have it,ntm, what if that was a ploy to do exactly that????
A guy from the UK,asking me a million questions, send him dozens of pics, asking me to cut down the new quarters to fit them in the car for shipping and on,then drops off the face of the earth!!!!
I never had this much aggravation selling a car,and even at that, selling one what I consider cheap for what is in this car!!!
Anyway,I have to wait to resolve the ebay situation before I relist it,which now my wording is going to change there!!!!!!,so I geuss it is still for sale, here,my reserve was $8,000.

Still for sale, $7,500 firm. Any local memebers, feel free to come and see in person to see/hear what a real nice drivetrain $7,500 will buy !!!!!
The guy that came here to buy my rims, told me he had nearly $4K in his motor alone and was not as stout as what is in this car! Thanks again Wilson!!!!
Anyway, sorry to rant, easy to do when you're pissed off ,LOL !!!!!

Thanks for the nice comment Gary,I had someone look at it just the other day that is into Chevelles, but wanted to see it anyway. He was impressed at how it sounded, and ran.He asked if I had solid motor mounts because the engine sits so perfectly still when idling/running.It does'nt.Gave him and his other friend a ride and stepped on it and they were blown away the power it has,but that is coming from people who never went down the 1320.
Next couple days later he said to another friend, whats the engine worth about $1,500?That friend knows what it cost to build Buicks and told him he should visit T/A's site and see what the parts in the eng approx cost.
I never did that,so I did,and what I came up with, with everything I poss know about the eng and whats in it and under my hood presently,I came up with around $4,600.00,and thats without tax, shipping, and all the machine work done to this engine!!!Nevermind whats in the rest of the car!!
Quite honestly,I know the economy is not up to par,it's winter, the holidays were just here, etc, etc. And I know it is'nt the prettiest of things right now in primer, but toss the body off the frame,IMO,the drivetrain is worth what I'm asking by far.
I truly thought that with all the members here into their Buicks, knowing whats in it and how it runs/performs,at the price I am choosing to let it go for, would have been gone already.
I think whoever does buy it,is going to be happy with it when they do take it to the track and see how consistent and reliable it runs, ntm how quick it is for whats in it @ 9.8 CR using 93 octane.
I even offer anyone interested that is not local and cannot come see, pick any member near me you want that would care to give thier time for you to come and see and report an unbiased opinion.
    Anyway,thanks again

    Paul

That is one nice car and one heck of a deal, believe me the people interested in cars on ebay and some in person do not know what it takes to build or buy a car, I recently got burned on ebay and will no longer sell on that site, I count on word of mouth (recently sold a 68 GTO by word of mouth) I am intersted in this car for I too have two other cars/projects for sale a 1967 Chevelle and a 1963 Pontiac Catalina (roller) let me know if this sells before months end for we all know come February (Tax money) people will be buying again. Best of Luck....

    staged70 RIP

I believe if you report the buyer as a non paying bidder you can avoid the final value fees and relist for free. I would love to take a look at it but its a bad time for me. Got to pay taxes again this year
