I wonder if it's for REAL? o No: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/1968...0316204?pt=US_Cars_Trucks&hash=item3f07979cac
Pictures are really funky. Hard to see any detail on the car. Nice color combo. It has non correct shifter. The car does look unmolested for the most part though.
Would a factory car like this come with non-boxed lower control arms in 68'? I don't know alot about 68-69's
boxed lowers are an option (F-41 or Y-45). The car is a factory black/ bucket white interior car. Doesn't have the original engine. Holley carb. Unknown 4 speed, unknown rear end. Some crust, some funk here and there. Interior is worn/ dirty. If there is someone that is close, the dealer said they are more than willing to let (whomever) climb all over the car. Also, more than happy to throw it on a lift for you. :beers2:
How about the trailing arm braces? Would it being a factory 4speed automatically come with them regardless of F-41 option?
George, refresh my memory about the braces. Was it just a 4speed thing in 68/69 or a big block deal, or a vert option?
For the record: Flint 159 Wilmington 76 Balt 65 KC 43 Fremont 8 Total 1968 GS400 Convertibles w/ 4-speed 351
I'm not so sure. I think this looks like a quickie to me. The paint seems to have that maaco appearance and the undercarriage kinda seems like the car was sitting in a damp field for a while. It may be a sound car but I'd sure check it out closely.
Unmolested as in dash, radio, etc... car is not hacked up with a bunch of not correct parts on it. Definitely crusty though.
This might be the only time I have seen another GS optioned like mine. No fan shroud that I can see. I hope it's nicer than the pictures reveal but I doubt it is.
Damn close George,if you'd had time to stop in Mt.Airy you would have known it wasn't mine. I'd like to think mine is a bit nicer than that one. p
My car is an auto and it was born with these braces, (If you are talking about the ones that mount to the body above the axle)?
